@dylstick3 I dont think so..In his video on the Burton Grip, he talks 20sec. about the Stevens Grip and he dont seems to like it. You can see the grip doesnt look natural in his hands. And he invented the Burton grip when he was younger, so he learned with his own grip. That's what I think about it.

I play four mallets on vibraphone, marimba, etc., but TEN fingers could easily counter that argument. They are both fantastic musicians who play at an amazingly high level. The song is originally written in 3/4 time so right there 4/4 feel makes you sound stupid. In addition clave continues regardless of what ever western style timing you use. Song must confor to clave.
