  • KONAS ARE BUILT TO BREAK

  • @saintpedr00 i have an 2006 stinky, and i it has taken a bunch of falls, bumps, fell out of a car once while doing 50 mph... it's still like new, apart from the scratches and a bump... so kona's are great bikes!

  • @mesamarshall i think u missed the video above

  • @saintpedr00 i know for experience... my stinky has even done gaps and big jumps and it still hasn't broken, so... what do i care about the guy who buys a stab? a friend of mine who rides pretty well also broke a kona stab. i'll give that te stabs are almost built to brake. but don't generalize to all the konas...

  • Kona 4 ever, every bike can brake...

  • thats how the kona dh drivers pass the track with ther shitty konas...by carryign them the whole track..

  • I think the stab is more of all mountain than downhill not beefe enoughf for dh delux or supreme are alot nicer demo 8 kicks as though asswell and turner dhr

  • @premonjares aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahhhaahhaahhahahahahaha

    all mountain...

  • Konas dont suck nor demos i think has to do with the rider setting up the suspension properly so u dont bolttom out and screws are at the right torque and no movement in the frame and of course dont try to crash i like turners not that overpriced demo with to many pivots that just might break down good bike though

  • Well at least they have made the Kona frames alot stronger Now,Just bought My self a Kona stab deluxe 2010,I dought we will see any more Kona frames older than 2006 ever ridin again they just suck

  • @azattac

i had a 2000 model stinky snapped the rear swing arm and got a new one for free as life time on the old frames, got a 2009 coilair now and my old stinky would melt it everyday, so sorry i have to disagree with you there also new Kona's 4 years on frames now,

  • Kona bikes often crack or break completely because they are made from a very unorthodox metal called "Lead".

7005 aluminium is a very strong metal as it bends during heavy load.

but the old steel or cromo is no good for strength as it is too stiff and will suddenly give way!

  • @gewizz2 i dont think you know what your talking about

steal bends, aluminium breaks/cracks not the opposite and stinkys arent made out of lead ;)

  • omg :D :D

  • dude...... I don't have anything to say.... XD

  • @key00992233 I'm a longboarder ... don't know how i end up here ! xD

just want to ask ... is kona crap ? :D

  • I ride an 07 stab supreme and I have had no problems with it! :)

  • I think this jphelps10 idiot has only ever watched dvd's and youtube videos of specialized factory tours. just judging by his choice of words I doubt he has any friends, he obviously dosen't know the history of the demo because the early ones were lemons. meaning they cracked. and i don't think he works in specialized warranty dept. so I'm not sure if his facts are correct. quote " don't see any broken demo frames"???

  • i don't know how this kona broke, but in the last 5 years all konas sucks hard and i mean it!!!!

  • well a giant faith isn't much (approx. $2,500) but again I don't downhill so I can't offer great advice!!

  • peaople says that kona broke... okey?!@#$! becouse evrybody ride on kona it's like ferrari is more crashing then veyron...

This bike broke becouse they hit the tree show me the bike what with big speed hit tree and it's steal working

  • is a 2010 kona stab delux a good bike to learn to downhill on? cuz i want to learn but i dont want to pay more than 3200$ for my first downhill bike. if the kona stab isnt a good bike can you plz give me some bike suggestions that go for around the same price?

  • the stab deluxe would be good to learn dh on but if ur getting into bigger shit look into a transition blindside or a specialized demo or something

  • He might wanna place that bike down a bit more carefully net time, he could break it!

  • What place did he finish? XD

  • Pech Gehabt.

  • it's not frame design that causes failure, or the material. Ir's either faulty manufacturing or people are not looking after their bikes properly.

The new konas a awesome! Older ones pre 2005 were kind of rubbish i admit.

  • really. Why are there repeat frame breakage on the new coilair bikes, where the seat tube is welded to the BB shell? One guy basically is still out of comission, because his frame broke riding down a small hill. Kona at first wouldnt wranty it because they told him their frames are NOT intended for off road use WTF????

  • WOW he must have been riding hard, I want to see the vid of it actually breaking

  • lol

  • dude bmx bikes are gay, no offense but i h8 them and so what if i cant ride them, ive tried and i just dont like them at all

  • I think that all of you wished to have a kona stab supreme x ) hehe

  • lol thats dedication right there finishing the race after that. and guy below me shut the fuck up honestly everyones like konas are shit, no their not honestly you just cant afford one probably cunt.

  • haha konas brake easier than most bikes

  • not really, try prove it?

  • this bike hit a tree during a race. not many bikes stand up to that. I can show you pictures of broken demo's, giant glorys, iron horses, all with serious damage to the frame from crashing into trees. Go ahead and try to prove that they break more than other bikes!

  • well, there is like 2 or 3 picture of broken demo in whole internet :D and like hundret of kona. So either demo riders are very skilled and dont crash or kona has some problems with durability.

2vs100 broken frame ratio is pretty much prove for me

  • yes, demo riders do tend to be more skilled, as people usually move away from kona as they develop their skills, because other manufacturers offer more advanced tech, but maybe the fact that kona are the most popular mountain bike manufacturer (they make the most sales by far) contributes to the fact that more are broken - more bought, more used, so more broken makes sense doesn't it?

  • the demo is the strongest bike frame in the world, google it. thats why you dont see any broken demo frames

  • HAHAHAHAHHA absolut balls, crack crack crack and more cracks

  • show me a fucking demo 8 with a broken frame you filthy fuck

i know my stuff my friends ride for specialized i've been to the factory i've seen how they test them they can withstand almost anything

  • well if you knew your stuff then youd know that loadsssss crack. type "demo crack" into photo search on pinkbike, and it comes up with reams of photos of cracked rear ends LOL then try "stab crack" ........ see what you can conclude from that. do some research before you make ridiculous claims

  • oh and btw no your friends dont ride for specelized and quite proberbly you havent been in the specelized factory/testing room. OWNED BEATCH!

  • actually i have been to the factory and two of my friends do ride for specialized will finnerty and connor jones both ride 2010 demo 8s

  • fair enough matey :)

  • I've seen cracked, but only the old ones

  • Bike killer, LOL...

  • aurehava!!!

  • hehe the stab is broking in half... how dit he do that

  • my kona frame is 2004, my parts is new. my old frame is from 1998! and it rocks... it just wont brake.. i tryed lol xD

  • LOL Kona is the best!!

  • screw you you douche bag, that's not what you get, that's like what, one bike in a million that's broken? bet you ride a hunk of crap don't you.

  • did it break easily

  • кашкавал!!!!
