  • Haha and I'm happy when I get to the 200kg mark for a one rep max. This guy owns all.

  • not that i question anything he does lol i just dont know why putting his head down gives him an advantage, i read somwhere he couldnt go past 800 deadlift untill he changed his form, i also round some of my UPPER back during deadlifts but my head is always natural position not down, just wondering why no other deadlifter does that

  • @muzimuzi Hell if I know; it's just what works for him.

  • Comment removed

  • i lift things up and put them down

  • monster. im 146 and i do 315 4 times. im getting there

  • This guy is an inspiration to guys who wear glasses.

  • the whole video was more than amazing, but that first lift... man! he just hauled it up no problem.

  • Konstantin Konstantinovs*

Nevertheless, this guy defines the word EPIC pretty well ;)

  • This guy is an inspiration to people with skinny legs everywhere!

  • it's not his upper spine rounding, its just that for some powerlifters they will let their shoulders hang forward a little to get a few more pounds on their lift, in fact, a lot of people think its actually better for your shoulders to do this. you don't become that powerful without excellent technique, so nobody commenting on a youtube forum has the right to criticize this guy

  • u can say lol all u want WR all you want no one for a second can doubt his power but when he gets older hes got a good chance of being in a wheel chair his technique is pathetic

  • Anyone on here commenting about rounding the upper back under load being dangerous clearly has no understanding of spinal mechanics or deadlift technique.

  • Damn thats the way i do 205 kg, he does more than double that. Awesome strength..and i like the way he walks like an angry child who's about to smack his little brother:-D.

  • his upper spine seems slightly rounded, but hell its working for him, and I would think if it was going to catch up with him it would at this point, and hell ive barely been powerlifting for a year, this guy has prolly forgotten more about weightlifting than ive ever learned lol

  • He is the strongest deadlifter in the world (pound for pound). Stronger than Andy Bolton or Benedikt. I mean he weights about 125kg and needs just 28kg more 2 break the all time world record.

  • @nikkolodien remember...he pulled his new highest pr with no belt or suit. We'll see how he does at andy boltons deadlift comp

430kg Geile Sache!!!!!!

    Daumen hoch, starkes Kerlchen!!!

  • no, that's not true! you should ALWAYS avoid a humpback! i doesn't matter how heavy the weight is!

  • Yes, it is clear to me, but when the weights are heavy, is there no other way!

But he said that because of the Rekord probably does not matter whether it is unhealthy!

    Sorry for bad english!!!

  • for god's sake, that's the worst DL technique i've ever seen! horrible! i wonder if his intervertebral disks are still ok?

  • I'm always afraid of doing dead lifts. I don't know how they're supposed to be done. The back is bent and that is unsafe i guess.

  • wow what an original song to deadlift to. only heard it like a bazillion other times.

  • @thisonefuckinguy did you see 950lbs deadlifts a bazillion other times too?

  • yes actually i have seen people deadlift 950 lbs a bazillion other times too.

  • I fuckin' love that guy!

    Great shape and kickass strength.

    Absolutely great.

  • Mean fucking machine!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dude is built like a fucking brick shit house!

  • Yes but look at him compared to andy bolton or beni maggnusson. He would look small and lean.

  • He looks quite humble for some reason...

    Maybe it's the glasses? lol

  • Yeah, I was just thinking that. He's a lot smaller than most powerlifters, which I'm quite glad of since it gives me hope that I might just be able to maybe one day be half as strong as old Benny.

  • BRAVO!!----5 stars. t. veijo.--Finland!!

  • BRAVO!!----5. stars. t.veijo--finland.

  • Rounding is fine, provided that you keep every muscle active of course. Rounding happens when your hips are close to the bar (from front to back), which is what minimizes the leverage problem and allows big deadlifts.

  • u said it best man!

  • fucking epic

  • his belt is really high

  • Comment removed

  • Steel Spine???^^ or is the English word "vertebral column" ? (backbone? spine?) his technique are very......specific!!! Dangerous!!! But fucking strong!!! thumbs up!!!!

    Great Job!!!!!! Fucking Awesome!!!!!!!

  • i didn't mean the spine, but the intervertebral disks. use a dictionary, when you don't know the meaning of this word. ;-) his technique, as i mentioned, is very bad and as you said, dangerous! but you are right, he is strong!

  • how can his back not to break?

  • those were easy for him geez

  • Fantastic the best deadlifter ive ever seen.Real deadlift!! No sumo here.

Keep it up. lets see some records.

  • Anybody have any idea what the announcer is saying?

  • Big Benni will hit a grand before Konstantinovs does...

But Konstantinovs is 6,4 and only 275

and Big Benni is a house at about the same height

    and yeah really

    Bolton didnt lock his 1003

    If Konstantinovs become a superheavy

he could break a grand no problem

best deadlifter at 275 and has a higher best pull than the 308 record

  • but Bolton did just lockout his 1008

  • All the critics round hare have probably never deadlifted more than 1.5 bodyweight and have nothing useful to say. I can assure you, that the guy has far better coaches and knows more about deadlifting than 99% of all people ever will!

Absolutely amazing, what Konstantine is doing!

  • I can do 2x =D

  • You're right.

People who scream form don't realize that these professionals clearly understand how they're doing an exercise and they're doing it a certain way for a certain reason that is beyond most of our understandings. They've been doing this a lifetime. If he thought he was going to injure himself he wouldn't be doing it.

  • Suits simply do not give much assistance to a conv deadlifter, they guy could likely lock 900lbs suitless IMO...weak, think not

This guy is pound for pound the baddest 275lb deadlifter in the world, no one can dispute that

  • Hey at least this guy will lock out when he does a grand

  • Just as some people here were saying, put on some kilograms and make Bolton your bitch.

  • epitome of manliness.

this guy is def. the next 1000+ deadlifter

  • FUCK ME O.o THATS THE MOST brutal deadlifting on youtube... hes 190cm too... 'only 125kg'.. Put on some weight and show Bolton whos the boss!

  • He lifts with a straight back, its only his upper back that is rounded.Bob peoples a farmer pulled 725,5 pounds in 1949 with a similar style with a bodyweight of 189 pounds thats some crazy shit..This style suits only very few people and Konstantinovs is one of them.

  • Bob Peoples was an amazing lifter. I think he used an overhand grip. I also saw a photo of him doing chins with weight around his waist, but he was holding onto two narrow beams in the ceiling of a shed or garage.

  • NO wrist straps bitches!!!!

  • holy beast..that is amazing

  • Simply one of the best...flawless...no wraps no B.S. Just pur strength.

  • wraps are BS but a deadlift suit is ok? Good logic!

  • Don't be a tool. The suits don't work that well vs. the shirts/suits for bench and squat. The man is a beast. I love little limp muthas like you commenting on real men.

  • No doubt. KK is the man.

  • His form is really unique. Look how close to the bar he stands. He is a very gifted lifter.

  • It's interesting how he wears his belt very high up, must be right on the bottom of his ribs.

  • Konstantine Kostanov is probably the only powerlifter that lifts deadlifts like this. it's unique how he uses his mid back

  • actually he says everyone in his gym lifts like this and no one has had back problems.

  • ah, never knew. thanks for the info. what country would he be?

  • Latvia

  • It's a very interesting approach. The thoracic spine is built for mobility, unlike the lumbar one which is built to be locked.

That's one hell of a strong lower back. Someone with that type of strenght can make this a very safe and fool-proof approach... me thinks.

  • This guy is amazingly strong. What a grip too!

  • This is a demonstration of pure deadlifting POWER!

  • What about the way he walks? The man is on a WARPATH, straight to that barbell!

  • Anyway, I'm very interested in the way he rounds his back before the lift instead of sticking his chest out more. I'm going to try that sometime when I'm deadlifting.

  • Man this vid is epic!

  • what country is this guy from? anybody?

  • he walks funny, kinda fast, but i dont blame him

  • looks like he uses bob peoples style form, good to see

  • Never heard of 'bob peoples" form what is that?

  • bob peoples used to round his back in a similar way, that's all i was referring to. a lot of lifters seem to keep the chest up and force abdominal pressure through a deep breath, where as peoples did the opposite, he breathed out and made a very "round back" position....he pulled some big weights back in the day!

this konstanov guy is a beast though, could break the record deadlift! i hope he does!

  • Okay thats kinda what I figured, yea this guy is crazy strong!! Hope to see more of him breaking some records

  • kinda what you figured?

how so? Bob Peoples was a man, a powerlifter, how could you figure out what billy was saying when you didn't even know who or what bob peoples was??? you moron...

  • kinda what you figured?

how so? Bob Peoples was a man, a powerlifter, how could you figure out what billy was saying when you didn't even know who or what bob peoples was??? you moron...

  • Konstantine Kostanov = DEADLIFT ,This is crazy demonstration of brutal strength. He stiff legged that fucker up, RESPECT!!!

  • thats crazy strong he doesnt even use wraps

  • In powerlifting contests, you're not allowed to use wraps. As a matter of fact, I don't believe you should use them at all. It's far better to train your grip as well as your legs and back.

  • Funny to see people critizing a person who has a WR deadlift. And putting his form down. All i have to say is: LOL!!!

  • danm fuckin strait

  • His upper back is rounded, his lower back is not. The risk lies if the lower back is rounded and Kostanov does not lose pressure there.

  • ...I think that he must put more muscle to improve his dl...

  • That is absolutely inredible. I'd like to know how he pulls that much weight without destroying his back, look how rounded it is! His build reminds me of Pat Casey

  • This dude is inhuman...compare his body type to the bowling balls you usually see lifting this kind of weight. Awesome.

  • his back is totally bent over...

  • sticazzi!

  • wow , impressive , has his feet very close together to , i find it easier to have them a bit wider

  • If you watch footage of Vince Anello, it looks as though his heels are touching.

Jan Harrell told me to keep my heels close, and to point my feet out.

  • what da hell !!! best sport ever 8D

  • To nbatweek. Konstantin is Latvian.

  • fuck, hes not a natural looking deadlifer is he? so tall, long thin legs. lol. amazing.

  • No he really ain't, but damn he lifts nice.

  • thin since when is 250 plus pounds thin idiot

  • AWESOME!!! is he Romanian btw?

  • That guy can be only a Russian or Bulgarian. :)

  • fuckin hell at last true any 1 who says this form r the shitty little pussys who train in gym corners lukin more in 2 the mirror rather then liftin weights got a jack ass like that in my gym always critising us young lads sayin dnt lift heavy blah blah

  • If the bar aint bendin' youre just pretendin'

    Nice one!

  • very impressive! e is a machine!! def cud get the wr, andy bolton watch ya back, lol. gr8 deadlift.

  • Seems like a nice guy!

  • anyone who says it is bad form has obviously never tried a max deadlift, and in fact are probly those pussys who go to the gym and do bench press followed by arm curls and the call it a day.

  • no, they're the pussies who doesn't train benchpress, deadlift or squat at all.

  • gotta agree with you guys.

  • The comment by porclanpai shows complete ignorance. Only the lumbar and sacral back regions need to be aligned. That being said, you should keep your piehole shut unless you can lift even half that weight. Kostanov is a beast!

  • Impressive.

  • are you guys serious that is serious weight, only Andy Bolton and BM can lift that kind of weight ... he is within 60 pounds of the world record. Why would you criticise i'm sure he doesn't do his working sets during training with bad form... anyway he lifted over 900 lbs... Nice lift... that is a Strong Man. Anyone who wants to be a critic should be able to post a video of them doing the same weight with perfect form and then talk all day long brother.

  • Let's see you life that weight with a straight back...

In other words, who cares? He got it up and that's f**kin amazing. even if he won't be able to lift when he's 70, at least he'll be able to say "I was one of the world's greatest"

  • It is very obvious you have never done, or attempted a heavy deadlift with remarks like that.

  • seems like wise words, but you're wrong.

everyday bending is more damaging than rare heavy lifting, even as this one, and don't mention thoratic spine for god's sake!

  • perfect posture... this guy deserves the record

  • Красавчик!!!

  • seriously lol, that's the same way for squats, head up, back straight, toes forward, etc

  • To fastmatt30 : Those lifts were executed perfectly.

  • P.S. I bet you I could lift 946 pounds too, if I had Rammstein pumping in the background =D

  • ha ha hell yeah. I listened to one by metallica and I finished my senior year at 415 on dead and 385 squat. but notice how ihis back is bent over

  • I watched carefully all three lifts, It is indeed proper form. I used to power lift before, I was trained by a Bodybuilder that has a crazy workout, 7 incredible hours a day everyday of the week, just astonishing. Anyways this is how I learned to do it. Trust me when you get up to those weights thats the only way to lift that fuckin' shit haha. As long as his head is far back when pulling up he's fine!

  • now thats arnold weight..ohh great now you have to get a new bar

  • He is great. No showing off, no frills. Comes in, lifts, gets out.

Also, I think deadlifts are the most legitimate powerlifting routine. It's simply because you can squabble over what constitutes a legal bench press and what a squat is and what only a half-squat till the cows come home, but nobody can quarrel with what constitutes a deadlift.

  • I can just imagine this guy as a troublemaker when he was young. Going around downtown at night deadlifting some cars and flipping them over.

  • no wraps... sick.

  • Put up in heading the man's real name it's not Kostanov it's- KONSTANTINS KONSTANTINOVS!

  • oh man. what a stud.

  • this guy is amazing!! I thought Andy Bolton & Benny Magnusson were freaks!! this dude takes the cake, icing and the m*#Fu*#n Pound 4 pound title as the best Deadlifter in the whole universe!! he looks like he's in the 90kg or 100kg division.. man you are my new favourite deadlifter Kon!!

  • He's actually in the 125kg class... pure freak though

  • man i agree with mattapatta. this guy walks with a purpose

  • Really neat the way he walked to the bar

    A man with a mission !

  • Isn't this guy in thy Khrynik Klan?

  • Yes he his a newly recruited member in the new order..

  • isn't he in the khrynik Klan?

  • i don't think he even needs a belt for that

  • his forearms are bigger than his calfs lol...but this guy has one hell of a spine!

  • I could punch him in the face, hehehe

  • dude seriously loves rammstein

  • How can someone argue which race is stronger? Really. It just so happens that few black men even try their hand at strongman and powerlifting. And Mark Henry is one big, strong MAN. He could be a top powerlifter had he put his heart to it. But this argument is really stupid it makes ppl who watch videos about strength all look like idiots and that isn't the case, well i speak for myself.

  • nobody can use the washroom right after that one

  • Wao this man is super man xD

  • Ronnie Coleman did 800 pounds , but 2 reps , Ronnie is still my favorite

  • 800 pounds is way less than 430 kg. 800 pounds is 362

  • you're retarded arnt you. another person talking about ronnie coleman on a totally unrealated kind of lifters video. this guy is not a fucking body building like ronnie. ANNND he's lifting 946lbs.. so why mention ronnie?

  • This man is a noble warrior of deadlifting.

  • Incredible with that length

  • Indeed, there might be hope for me after all. (I am 190, think it's about 6'2 or pretty close to that.

  • thts nuts. hey do anyone know if ur allowed to use straps in powerlifting meets?

  • Nope, not usually, I believe. I suppose it depends on the organization running it.

  • There are no feds that let you use straps... grip is definitely a factor you have to train.

  • AWESOME PULLS!

  • Not bad and this is way more than Mark henry's 903 lbs deadlift but still 900 lbs is badass back breaking weight.

  • This is one, massive man.

  • bah! my back hurts if i see him deadlifting

  • Holy crap that's scary strong.

  • jebany koksiarz
