What a sad time for everyone. I remember Ekaterina skating alone for the first time and I was so very proud of her and for her. On 9-11-2001, I lost my late husband after 7 years and it was tremendously difficult getting through the first few years. I still miss him & think of him often. I'm so glad to learn that she is remarried and (I hope) happy. Thank you for the beautiful post.

I will never forget this pair for as long as I live. They were such a joy to watch and when Sergei died, the impact was mind blowing to fans world wide. When Ekaterina performed the skit without her beloved, I don't think that there was a dry eye on the planet.

I wish I had known skating existed when I was little...I could've watched those two skate in circles endlessly; that would be thrilling enough for me.

It's sad that he passed so young, but at the very least he and Katia were able love each other with all their beings in the time they had. And you can see that love in their eyes-it just comes right out at you.

A really beautiful portrayal of two wonderful skaters... all three parts were put together perfectly. You really get a sense of the deep love they shared... it's so tragic that his life was cut short, I cried watching the last part of this. I'm reading Ekaterina's book "My Sergei: A Love Story" at the moment (for the third time!) & it's great to have been able to see all the beautiful footage of them together, on & off the ice, in these videos. Make me sob already! I remember being at my parent's house when I heard the news about Sergei, I had to just leave them and go home. She was a skating idol of mine, and her strength and proof that life continues in the face or tragedy is an example to all.
