  • you cannot argue the long term effects if it is not Atkins. Atkins promotes eating massive amounts of vegetables too and those studies lacked diets that included low carb, high fat, high protein PLUS vegetables. clearly a diet is incomplete if it lacks vegetables

  • I so needed to hear this today after the last week of talking with people who just don't get it. I find it so crazy how demonized fruit has become among people who consider themselves nutritionists. Even in our matrix society, fruits and veggies have always been known as the healthiest foods.

    That's such a funny response and I most often hear it from people who consume refined sugars. I would say the sugar in fruit is a benefit. It is also has lot's of water, fiber, vitamins, minerals, fuel for our brain and phytochemicals. And it is one of the few vegan foods out there that is digestible without cooking. As a former hypoglycemic, I can honestly say eating a lot of fruit has actually balanced my blood sugar. To each his own though.
