I like both auto with paddle shift and manual, but if you live in a big city like Los Angeles, try to drive the manual on 405 during the traffic and all the hills, it would be a major pain.

True about traffic, but the R8 comes with a hill decent control thingy. It keeps the car from going back down the hill with you depress the clutch and let go of the breaks.

I was driving this car the other day on the 405 and I have to tell you its def not what i expected. The clutch is soft and not to dificult to handle. I personally have a RS4, and my buddy just got this and I loved it!!!

automatic is normaly for pussies. But in this case it´s a possibility cause it`s not an automatic. It´s a DSG with two clutches. This gearbox is a technical masterpiece. But I still prefer a good manual one. Nothing could be more fun.

Actually the "R-Tronic" system is more like the "e-gear" setup in the lamborghini, which is more similar to "SMG" of bmw, haha, it only goes on.

It's somewhat expensive yes, but as it's of excellent build quality (it's an Audi), it should be money well spent. The car's cheaper in the US than in Germany, BTW (I guess all german cars are).

Actually the R8 uses R-tronic which is a single-clutch gearbox like the BMW SMG. The DSG is called S-tronic in Audi's and is the famous dual-clutch system.

Yea we know the angles could have been better. The problem is that we use a suction cup rig for our camera, and in most cars there just isn't a good place to mount it, especially this one. But we have already solved the problem and we will have much better footage on our next track day.
