Im a researcher focusing on fathers rights, and it is even worse than the video depicts. Men routinely lose their children to mothers with serious mental, legal, and/or drug problems. Children are more likely to be abused and killed by their mother, and the mothers new significant other in post-divorce cases, than they are by their fathers.

When his father was killed.... I cried for days. Although I am probably different than most, I never stopped loving nor respecting my sons father and the I missed the time we had together. Drugs tore us apart, and I could not have my son exposed to that. I shall never regret, that prior to his being killed, that I, unselfishly , gave him the greatest gift of all: Our son... and the ability to see him, despite what courts stated. I did this for my son... and I shall never regret what I did for his father. I was not forced... I just paid attention to the needs, desires and wants of my child and let him tell me what he needed. We continuously disobeyed court orders. I allowed him overnights when there were to be none. There was a reason why, but when that was no longer an issue, I encouraged him to spend more time with his son. Every parent male or female, should be like this.

The family laws will NEVER change because the lawyers and worker at these gov't agencies benefit off these corrupted system. My sister found out on myspace she was throwing a BBQ for her common law husbands brother and "inviting other adults to party", so this was what was more important than me being with my daughter this weekend. My ex has always created problems with visitation and after a serious crisis and not seeing my daughter for 2 1/2 years I pleaded with the mother for as much time as possible, I have a terminal illness but it is being managed at this point and I am physically and mentally functioning as I should be. I had the same problem at one time. My ex moved across the border and both grandmother and her were playing games with my time, alienating me from my child, plus I was paying child support. I finally had to get a an attorney and got physical and legal custody . My ex is still playing head games with my child. It's high time single fathers, it's high time!!

Men have virtually no rights and women have all the rights. The solution is to teach men the law and create groups that assiste these men. I have made an important discovery, most family court proceedings aren't even legal. The court, most of the time lacks subject matter jurisdiction and other legal flaws. You can challenge them and kick the state out of the arrangement and put the equity tribunal, they want to call themselves courts, on a short leash. Once that is done women tend to act better.

The reluctance for the State Supreme Court to even hear this man's divorce-parental rights case is obvious. The court is designed to ruin you. I have fought my ex for three years and am nearly broke. I have primary custody of my son (luckily), but she has gotten away with not paying support. If she was a Dad, she'd be in jail. Now, i am trying to move away for better a job and the court is forcing me to leave my son with his mother until I have work and a place. This is while she doesn't work (on the books, anyway) and makes it difficult for me to contact him. I miss my son terribly.

The damage caused by moving away from dad will last for years. It can never be taken back. It hurts so many people. PAS is mostly considered to be when a mom just prevents kids from seeing the other parent. Moving away from the other parent is PAS -even if there are visitation rights! My mother horded it all to pay off her personal debt! And, now I have to take care of her, because she refused to get a job, and lived off of said child support. Fathers do have lack of rights. I admit some fathers are bad and do bad things to their kids but when they're falsely accused of abusing their kids but their ex-wife in a divorce case people feel sorry for the mom and say she was doing in the best intrest of the child or they have a mental illness.

I'm a single dad, it turns out I am now an Indentured servant for the state. She got custody without even having to go to court. She wont give me visitation, and now ORS is taking %80 of my income. I cannot afford a lawyer to get custody.. I am truely trapped and desperatlly in need of help. If I choose to go back to medical school, I will go to jail for child support.

i pay child support and i get to see my daughter every wensday and every other weekend fri sat sun. and just last week i had to bring the police with me to get my child and because she said no hes not getting her and they told me no that she isnt releasing her to me formy visitation and i didnt get to see her that day. all because i have a protection order against my ex because she beat the crap out of me and i had her arrested

I was wondering if there was any organiztion like this in west virginia. West Virginia is a hotbed for these types of cases, where men are being financially and emotionally ruined by these court systems. My personal problem is medical bills. I am convinced that my ex-wife is trying to ruin me financially with medical bills of which I am responsible for 70%, I am responsible for carrying the insurance, I pay my child support. And she has recently discovered that if she says my child has ADHD.....

...that she can really stick it too me with medicine that is not covered by my insurance, and she now has my perfectly normal 11 year old son on some medicine that I do not agree with, and going to a psychiatrist like I go to the bathroom. It has already totally milked my 401K dry, and I just got my tax relief check of $600 last week, and then recieved bills today that total.....you guessed it....$600. I live in Morgantown WV and if you know of any fathers rights organizations in the area.....

I know many men who are in alot of trouble financially because of these money hungry state governments! I think I may just do it myself if I have too. The best (or worst) is a guy I know who built a brand new house for his wife and child, not long after moving in she was caught cheating, they got divorced....

I'm a woman who grew up with two fathers, my mother left my dad when I was 12 and he had to find another place to live...luckily my mom had enough sense to not charge him with child support since SHE broke the family apart (i found out she was cheating later) I feel for men in this sitution because I grew up with two daddies and I think every child needs a father figure..i know kids who grew up without one...like my stepdad's daughter (mothers fault) and she turned out BAD.

Why is the non-compliance of child support payment a criminal act, (even being pursued through the patriot act- designed for terrorists) and the non-compliance of a mother allowing the already insulting 4-days-a-month visitation is a civil act that a father has to pursue out of his own pocket (In most cases about $1500 just to enforce). When are these pre-Women's Lib laws going to catch up to at least the 90's.

As a Father who pay's child support, I am amazed how the system treats us fathers who do right by our children all along.

What about first right of refusal before Any father is forced to pay? Offer the child's custody to the father with no support ... if he cannot then the child goes to the mother with support. It's only fair to offer the system imprisoned father his kid before he has to pay 18 years!
