Question: Will the "fretless fader", or whatever that future mixer will be, will it be only able to play those notes with a Controller 1? If so thats fine but it does cause some static cuz like i run technics and im not gonna change from them for a good minute. Is it the record that helps make the notes or what?

What really blows my mind, which I missed the first few times I watched this, is that for the first portion of this composition, the record was playing forward, but for the latter portion, the tone (record) was playing in reverse and because it was a locked tone, it had the same effect in both directions (obviously not counting when the forward or reverse directions were being applied as a portion of the scratch technique). Very sweet. Nice work.

Unfortunately, Vestax has discontinued this turntable, they apparently can't source the motors for it. The only turntable this works for is the Controller One.

When I designed the Controller One in 2003, I knew this would be the future, and it's ironic how people are just now getting it because of this controller. In the beginning, people hated on it, and couldn't even understand it.

I suggest all the peeps who commented, contact Vestax & ask them to keep it in production.

@goonbot3030 No. The Fretless Fader's verticle movement is a MIDI controller, and sends out note commands like a keyboard. The C1 turntable is changing RPMs to hit different notes in a scale. In other words, it's the turntable performing all the note changes, with the FF controlling it. It sounds crazy in this clip cause I'm running everything through a Q-tron pedal.
