  • The clariifiCATION ON THE NAME IS HELPFUL . My Sudanese friend described it to the best of his ability at the time. We are working together to build another instrument, as unfortunately his was broken after loaning it to an acquantance..anyone know where we might buy one?

  • You call it a rababa, but that is a Tambura. The rababa is the single (or two) stringed instrument, played with a bow (rababa means bowed)

  • i like this instrument

  • very cool

  • Beautiful!

  • this rababa is very nice to hear and know this song. when was skid we use to singing this song.

  • It is lovely to hear that he has to tune with his ear... the tuner doesnt work.

The micro- tones used here should be known somewhere.

    Does anyone know the tuning?
