My sisters and I spent the summers of 1973-1976 at Pionirski Grad outside of Belgrade Yugoslavia.

I look back on those distant memories and think how fortunate I was, an American of Serbian heritage spending time with other Yugoslavian kids during the time of "Brotherhood and Unity"

You youngsters today missed out. East Europe during the Cold War was quite a place.

The Man at right bestowing the red neckerchief is wearing a red device with the initials of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and so is a post reactionary coup photo. This reminder that the tradition of the pioneers is still today part of the ongoing struggle makes me happy. Thanks for posting this pleasant video.

What a very good video, comrade! I very like it. I was living in the "old" German Democratic Republic, the socialist part of Germany. In the school we were learning the russian language and culture. Today I´m very missing this time! But sometimes the capitalism will be destroyed and we will construct a new socialism, that´s really necessary!
