naw... it may seem like a faggy porn world in this video but the true awsomeness of second life is the fact that you can build anything. i even had a mansion hundreds of feet in the air (i placed it on land that was for sale because i couldnt afford the land... what better way to own property then to steal it?) and we filled it with cool shit. it took about 4 days (not nonstop i do have a life) and it was complete. it was actually fun. we had a casino in the basement and like 7 rooms.

naw man there are zones called sandboxes where people go to build whatever they want. and some land owners allow building on their land.

Second Life is not a game, it's a platform you can use for playing, education, or business.
You don't have to spend any money on it, since you can equip your Avatar with freebies and things you build yourself. You can also earn Linden dollars inworld by selling what you make, working (f.e. as dj in a club), or camping.
Many people spend real money on it however, to buy/rent land, keep businesses, buy nice expensive stuff for their land, employ other Avatars, and so on.

Well, something strange about the game. The L$ you buy can also be resold for real money. Some people use the game to make money, RMT's great until it gets to this level.

the very concept of intellectual property was made for this kind of claim. Intellectual property is always virtual. if someone steals the design for a virtual product and seeks to make money off of it, it is no different than if Ford steals GMs car design and sells it as their own. It's property, the value of which is embedded in its design or conceptualization. Real courts can handle these cases. They must put aside that the product is intangible & remember the design is nonetheless protected.

A year down the line and NOBODY in these hundreds of comments understands that what happened was an avatar exploited the Permission System and recreated an EXACT duplicate of Strokerz SexGen bed and then sold at extremely deep discount copies of the bed one at a time thru avatar to avatar meetings, only recreating bed at Sale. Strokerz bed was No Mod, No Copy, No Transfer. Using a hacked SL viewer somebody changed Permissions so he/she/it could sell the exact same bed.
