Took me about 15 years to track this song down. Heard it on one of my old BMX videos. Have searched the web for years, finally found it. I remembered the words for all these years. Amazing work!
heh, these guys ound really urban i would never guess they are from spanaway, since they are from spanaway you would think their songs would be about meth and dirt bikes hahaha.
This is their APEX! I gigged to Four, but this was their best. It was the Apocalypse within the songs that drew me. "Magic Mountainman" and "Last Humans" describe exactly where I would be, and what I'd do, when, and if, it comes...
Not all of us. I've always loathed the term "alternative" ... too vague and too much of a catch all. Plus, "aternative" was just too damn trendy of a term. Sad we have to strive to label everything in the first place.
Actually in Nor Cal, this was actually called indie rock. Indie rock was music that was not in the alternative scene but may have benefitted from the interest in Alternative. You wouldnt see these guys with like, screaming trees for example. But bands like Sloe, Samiam, Several Girls Galore, man I think Blink was considered Indie when they signed to cargo. Some indie bands overlapped with skate rock guys, and both these forms led to Emo,sadly. You can see the roots there.
oh so timely and bittersweet.

Weird... I haven't listened to this band, but I live in Spanaway.
A small small small town in Washington State that I would NEVER expect to be talked about. O.O Pretty cool song though.

This is a Classic Pacific Northwest "Runner".
Heavy-Duty Game with lyrics that set it up.
Everyone who's "cool" can relate and "feel" this one.

Funny thing is, we said "alternative" instead of "indie" back then.

Heh, you could easily say the same thing about "indie" nowadays.
