Stay away from canola oil. "By nature, these rapeseed oils (canola), which have long been used to produce oils for industrial purposes, are... toxic to humans and other animals" Also most canola like soy and corn is genetically modified. So DON'T eat it... read every food label.. Many varieties of nuts or mixed nuts are cooked in canola eliminating all their health benefits. The government and industry know canola is toxic that's why it's cheap and plentiful... sick people are BIG business
Thanks for the nice comment and subscribing. I never used brown paper bags before this either but, the chicken certainly tastes better. You should try it.
looks delicious. but have you considered trying the same recipe but using a coating of instant potato flakes? I mean actual instant potato flakes, not potato flour, hehehe.
Just a question, does the egg with salt/pepper/pepprica come out as a breading on a chicken finger or of corse fried chicken, or is it something like a very thin cover? Just wondering
I was just waiting to see flames leaping out the corner of the screen. That looks sooooo good! Well, I'm gonna swing over to the website to get the right measurements then off to the store I go to try it myself. Also...if that was 1 breast it must have been HUUUUUUUUUGE!
Thanks for the recipe Auntie Nora !! it looks really great and worth to try, hahaha... the crunchy fried chicken inspires me what i want to cook... thanks a lot.

I've never heard of draining the excess oil with a paper bag, we always use paper towels and it really gets the oil off. The chicken looks great!!

Dudedanrocks,
Aside from the flavors, it is just a thin batter, also to prevent the chicken from sticking to the pan.
Thanks for the question.
