  • Peter had such thick hair. Hard to believe he went bald.

  • @sirtinycreep He did not go bald, he receded. It will happen to most of you in various forms with the exception of girls who will simply thin out if they use colourants a lot. Would you like to ask Mr Gabriel if he can afford a transplant?

  • @frenchexperience I didn't mean to cause offensive. I simply meant Peter looked like he had the type of thick hair that would never fall out. Like Mick Jagger's. ;)

  • another great role for armin mueller stahl -- the peter gabriel saga

  • Peter Gabriel got my sorry ass through highschool & college....and for that I am truly thankful...

  • @TheToongrrl Splendid! With you there, funny person.

  • @TheToongrrl "sorry ass" isn't that a yankee term robbed from a royal person who used it recently while playing at soldiers?

  • Supper's Ready needs to be a light show piece!

  • Good to see he no longer has to shave that strip from his forehead backward any more.

  • The man needs to hook up with Genesis one more time.

  • Are there any knee slappers from the ozarks?{just a joke, lol}

  • This guy's got one of the most expresive voices in rock and roll. On a good day that voice can move mountain's. Thanx peter for your music and vour vision. Love and peace, Richard Edwards

  • peter gabriel and his world music mania -

IT SUCKS PETER, IT SUCKS, please,

get less broad and more deep,

if i want african music, i´ll get it without your

support, but i like heady northern songs still better!!!

  • the first WOMAD he went broke and reunited with genesis, maybe you could run out of money again Peter?...

  • @pinkfloydrule27 yes please go bankrupt so youll have to stay with genesis for a looooooooooooong time... :P

  • @pinkfloydrule27 I can't see that happening.

  • one year later in 2009 he played live at WOMAD - nice surprise for our friends in England.

  • does he spend a lot of time over in america or live there or something? his accent sounds american-ized,don't it?

  • @mommyimadeapoopy ..as far i know he lives in new York city

  • HEY COLNOLsanders GET ME A BUCKET!!....not really peter you are my favorite and send so much love and respect to you!

  • It amazes me how much different he looks now than back in the day, I honestly barely see the resemblance, I mean, I could never imagine that this is the guy that did all that acting and craziness on stage in the 70s. He is an amazing person though.

  • Face it folks. Chicks dig Gabriel. All he has to do is talk a little bit and they get moist.

But I don't care. The man wrote Supper's Ready. That's true ear candy if there ever was any.

  • ha!!!! ;) very good point!

  • wasn't it tony banks that wrote Supper's Ready?

  • Well, the entire band wrote Supper's Ready. Banks I think wrote most of the music. The lyrics were all Peter's.

  • Yes..it's true!

  • true, but remember he CO-wrote supper's ready!

  • @MrUpshotKnothole Suppers Ready is the greatest song i have ever heard. I listen to ALOT of music.

  • I'll be there this year. So will Peter.

  • It's so sad that all you guys can do is speak superficially about how he looks!! WTF, it's about his music and how incredible it is. Who gives a shit how he looks.

  • Peter Gabriel saved me from growing a beard

  • @busisanclaire Peter saved me too...I don't want to meet him cause for me is just an angel!SINCE MY EARLY TIME.

  • Peter Gabriel saved my life ... an amazing man

  • Its time for the classic 5 to get together again it would be special

  • I will always be in love with Peter Gabriel even if he looks like he could be my dad or grandad-he is so freaking hot! The most sensual, sensitive heterosexual and non metrosexual man ever. He is HOT and not effeminate try that with anyone under 33 today.

  • he looks like the founder of the church of satan, lol.

  • shut the fuck up, mutt, he's gorgeous! lol

  • He does indeed look like him.

No doubt. But that doesn't change the fact that he's very charming and nice looking.

And not to mention a fantastic singer.

  • I love this man. Noone else has been producing mostly consistently amazing music for so long.

  • Robert fripp has :) but i agree, peter is the man

  • I stand corrected. Fripp is also a god.

  • And coincidently they work together quite often.

  • ha peter been my holiday for the last 5 yrs....cant wait to summer to see the rest of the womad family ian

  • I wish Gabriel could give up just one of his side projects for just a couple of months so that he can finish a new pop record.

    UP was phenomenal.

  • glasses and goatie gotta go...

  • Or maybe you should.

  • considering he's been in music for over 40 years he's actually quite young. I know a lot of faded "heavy metal" icons still out there plugging away embarrasing themselves around the same age...quite pathetic - they hardly show any new ideas or interests..not the same with Peter Gabriel - still fresh, innovative and relevant.

  • I've just listened a couple of Peter gabriel albums, I Think, i have a lot for discovering

    ........

  • Wow he is 58 years old!!!!!!

  • Tell us more about this wonderful event?

  • come on Pete junk those glasses and get some funky frames, man.

    Andy

  • Thanks peter

  • I must go next year! I can't believe I missed it this year...

  • Is it just me in thinking that PG is still quite sexy? That smile makes my heart skip a beat after all these years ;) ...I dunno he's just so adorable!

  • Oh god yes! And those dimples! *swoon*

  • woo! I'm not alone ;D

  • No, you are definitley not alone here!

  • simply put if their is a god on earth his name is peter gabriel the talent this man has is simply incredible not just for his music but for womad and all of his other amazeing accomplishments he has done . when does he sleep it always seems that he is either helping with some cause , or on the brink of bringing the future to us before it's time he truely is an inspiration I have followed his career ever since I first heard him back in 1977 when I was 6 years old he is my hero for so many reasons

  • I'm with you- he's so damn intelligent and diverse!

  • You're right "dirkdoggler" -- Peter is very diverse to say the least...and very intelligent. I'm glad to see an artist like him support and promote music from other cultures that might otherwise go unnoticed by the rest of the world! It's also great when he manages to incorporate some of that into his own music too. --Kim

  • I had to write an essay in 12 grade on `who is your hero and why`. mine was long descriptive A+ for my Description, Artistic Ability and Devotion on Peter Gabriel. Got the rare occasion to say Hello and shake his hand at the Tower Theater in 1977, Philadelphia, PA. An absolute unforgettable moment in my life.

  • Hi LEHIGHDRIVE -- I gave you a "thumbs up" for your comment. I can imagine...that definitely must have been an unforgettable moment! Getting to meet Peter especially when he was still so young would have been very inspiring as well. I'm sure I would have given you an "A+" for your essay too! *smile* --Kim

  • awesome! He looked at me at his concert in 2003 omg! I was in love!

  • You are not alone! Peter is still so sexy.

  • Well, I think it's so stupid how people always say that he got so old and that he has lost his hair and stuff. He is STILL Peter Gabriel. No one can take that from him. And he will be Peter Gabriel til his dying day. Although I think he still looks good I think looks are not that important when you're freaking Peter Gabriel. LOLz

  • cool interview!! thanks for posting :-)
