my ipod ive had for 3 years and it died about a week ago i hope its the battery thats broken not the ipod itself because my battery when i go to charge it just dosnt even turn on so i hope this will help im going to buy a battery of ebay i hope it works

another good method for those not apt to use a soldiering iron - less dangerous a change if you can get the touch for the wire splice - seems a little wire and may be a challenge??

The Apple store said my model was discontinued and out of stock so my iPod Nano is obsolete. I bought a new battery on eBay for $1.99 and followed your instructions and it works perfectly. Thanks again!

The ipod nano in this video doesn't look like a 2nd generation. I have a 2nd generation and there is no seem on either side.

i have no idea what generation my ipod is because it was a gift and i didnt buy it but it looks like a silver square, can play videos, and is a nano.

My select button doesnt work too and i've watched your other videos. I don't have expericence and dont wanna screw anything up so i was wondering if anyone knew where i could take it to fix for me?

Is there any way that this can be done with a 5th Gen iPod? On those there is no so seam seperating the front and back of the case. My battery is still fine, but it would be nice to know for the future. Also, is there a bettery replacement kit available for those units in the apple store? Thanks for the vid.

Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos...great series and very helpful. Unfortunately, I have a 2nd Generation ipod nano. The case is a solid one piece tube (without a front and back cover). So, I am not sure how to open it from the ends and I don't want to break it.
