my parents live in Bloomington Indiana where I have lived for 35 yrs and just moved to Barbourville KY about 3 months ago this is where my husband was raised and hasnt been back for 25 yrs but its like time stood still evryone still knows him well I am excited to go and try to see this for myself now im only about 20 min from Corbin I love your videos you make cooking easy for me my husband loves the new food im cooking also thanks.
Wonderful video Betty. I am sure this brings back memories and fills you with various emotions to be there Betty. AWESOME , area and water falls. Romantic too. thanks for sharing Betty.
That reminds me of a part of the country side where I was born in south GA. I don't know exactly the name of the area, but there was a huge river with a waterfall down stream. I think it was a park. I can't remember clearly. I was there when I was 5 or 6. But I remember looking into the river and seeing snakes in it. Just seeing that kind of took me back. Thanks Betty.
Betty, I just love your channel. I especially enjoy your travel videos. You are able to offer insight into destinations throughout Kentucky that most of us are not aware of. The story about your parents was very touching. God Bless!
Hi Betty and Rick! These were so enjoyable!! Thanks so much for sharing. I'm in need of a little getaway myself and your videos from Cumberland Falls just pushed me over to give myself a treat..and how amazing that your mom and dad honeymooned there! The food looked great, and you two did also! Sally :)
@scarecrow1701 While it's true that the moonbows do occur in other locations, my research indicated that only Cumberland Falls and Victoria Falls have the right combination of circumstances for them to appear regularly. I think it has to do with the location of the moon with respect to the mist generated by the falls, and, possibly, the viewing location.
There is a Penne pasta that i love that has feta cheese in it,green pepers, diced tomatoes, onion, and i believe italian salad dressing....and im tryin to re-create it and im haveing problems..Do u have any ideas for me...or do u have a recipe that would consist of them ingredients??
Great video, and I'm sure my only chance to ever see a moonbow (though I dont know where else they are visable!). If you and Rick ever get the chance to come north please consider going to Niagra Falls. We here in NY, USA, share it with Canada...both sides are breathtaking and HUGE! The falls are lit each evening, and you just can't believe they are real. Thanks again, Betty.
Oh I so Love your trips...Have you ever been to Niagara Falls Canada. I live an hour away and it is beautiful also.Food looked awesome , but I must stop watching these videos late evenings make me so hungry.Thank you for taking us along what a nice couple you are :)
@marriedshayformoney Rick here--we used a digital slr camera on a tripod with a 15 second time exposure, the lens opened up to f2.7 and the ISO set to 1600. You couldn't see anything through the viewfinder, so had to aim by guess. The moonbow shows only as a white arc to the naked eye, but the longer exposure with the camera brings out colors. We were really lucky--the bow only appears when the conditions are just right, and that's not often in the summer.
That's really lovely Betty. I have been to Niagara falls for a holiday but have not seen a moonbow before. Now I know what one is, thanks for sharing. I am sure that your parents enjoyed the view too all that time ago. Really enjoyed your video....Richard ;-)
just gorgeous, I love waterfalls -- I had never heard of moonbows, how beautiful it was to see it in your pictures - now I want to see one in person too!! Great video of you two! Thanks Rick & Betty for another great & informative video!
Love this view my family has always lived close to there...nothing like it year round and the Moon Bow probably won't see it again in my time.

An outstanding and rare natural phenomena well captured!
I didn't realize so few places in the world allows this to occur.
I thought you said only two, Betty, but there's four or five according to various sites.
Gosh, the sheer volume ( both in gallons and sound ;) )of that water is enough to inspire awe of nature!
