I'm in the chicago area so there's a decent amount of nice cars out here. I'd say I lucked out. like I mentioned my father has a grand national, but we've been working on our 57 chevy since 1990 (almost done.. took a while cause of changing what we were doing several times) and we've had the opportunity to mod our ferrari testarossa a little as well. this dsm is the second i've had the chance to mod. I think they're great. Like you said, cheap turbo hp. Let me know how your car turns out
ohh i live in maine the fastest car's around here is maby a vet but normally the only person who has one is like 65 and wont pull ya. i have a friend with an sti hes pushing about 330 where i have maybe 225 hey all if ur gonna get a 6 cinder turbo i would go 3000gt i bet you could get a 3000gt pushing 1200 hp
you cant compare a 3000gt. That is a v6! We are talking about an inline 6.. Think 2jz-gte or a BMW. A inline 6 is a well balanced motor and can make a lot of power with the correct mods.
why do you figure you can't compare the engine layouts? sure your power is going to come on in different rpm ranges however they're turbo cars. once boost kicks in all bets are off.
hell you're gonna have to bring your car out here then. there's plenty of LSX cars that'll run. I go to UTI so it's just annoying everyday listening to the Ford v. Chevy v. Imports (then the imports broken down to mfr, etc.) you get a chance though to really get an appreciation for awesome cars out here if you're open minded
lol i like all cars if you get a chance take a look at a few of my vids i have a vid of my stock gst even with an old camaro on the hi way and he got the jump. but yea im a boost addict now its so nice when it hits but if i had 5-7g's i would build my car b4 i would put a down payment on a house
it's funny that you mentioned building a car before buying a house cause my girlfriend and I just had that debate the other day lol. I just posted my Talon for sale today with all my DSM parts. I want to build a boosted fox body mustang. I completely agree with you on being a boost addict. I want to go after more now though. I figure if boost in a turbo four banger could give that much fun, a turbo V8 with twice the displacement should be heaven. wish me luck

We set up our cars a little different over here ( a few more bends than over where you are)... dont see much over 400 unless its a serious machine...
would love to know anyway as I might be ordering from you lot in the future..

Thats George's new test vehicle with an ICS Strage 1 turbo kit and stock ecu and engine which recently went 10.9 in the 1/4 mile - not bad for a BMW

im working on my dsm also cheep turbo hp but nothing like a evo or sti but where i live there arnt to many other people who have faster cars
