lol, the same goes for China as well. If you really know history, you will know that the biggest enemy of China during the Cold War was the Soviet Union, China is always, always suspicious of Russia. Both Manchuria and Xinjiang Uyghur Region could be top class steaks for the bear.

Weak China, resurgent China. Give me like 30-40 years, Russia will be on the brink of collaspe. China will swoop in to clinch some concessions. I doubt China will seize legit territories since that would provoke a war which will unify Russian people (they need to be unified with nationalism/common enemy which will give them strength).

Within the next 100-200 years perhaps earlier, China will have ensured Russian concessions.

At this point it makes sense for China to stick with its partnership with Russia. If trade increases and Russia gets back to growing well and divesifying its economy I think the partnership will continue and strengthen.

If Russia cant get itself together though and just keeps falling apart Im not sure.

Russia shall always remain independent country devoted to cooperation with as many different countries as possible. Russia is "diversifying" its friendship and cooperation by expanding trade with many countries around the world. Cooperation with China does not exclude cooperation with EU or Latin America. Russia is a self-sufficient country. It shall become more and more self-sufficient in the future.
