I didn't mean to offend the intelligence of people who work in gas stations (I used to work at one a few years ago, as a matter of fact). What I meant was that gas stations aren't optimal places for 'bright' people to utilize their intellect. Of course, that is not to say that only 'dumb' people work at gas stations - just that smart people should ideally work elsewhere. But work can be tough to come by, especially when one lacks experience ... or if the economy's bad (as it is now).
