Hi this is very beautiful locomotive and there is something that i have spotted on the clips on 3:02 shown on the clips that the rear right crane didnt move right it like it got stuck and slipped so i would like you to check ity out and be sure to research your crane properly thanks hope the train is alright which showing the clips 3:02 if you get a close look at it on the right side rear watch as the crane moves look closer !!!
This is my favourite loco.. Can you please tell me if both sets of driving wheels are powered, or just the front set. Its a great achevement to build it from plans did you get castings made also...
Both sets are powered. I made all the plans starting from the original drawings. I made my own castings only for the driving wheels, the remaining is all built up.
I have now found your other videos. What a great project to complete mainly from fabricated parts. I have built several locos both in 3.5 and 5 inch gauge. I will try to email a photo of my 2-8-0 5 inch gauge loco. Its 25 years old now. I am still working on the details. Which country do you live in I'm in the UK.

Unbelievably Amazing Train!
My Grandfather has been working on these kinds of trains for years, but the UP Big Boy is one that I'd LOVE to build!
I bet it could pull every person in the country ALL AT ONCE!

Excellent craftsmanship, very nice locomotive. Do you know of or have a link to a 7 1/4 gauge Big Boy?

I don't know, I never tried to run it fast, I'm afraid to derail !!

I live in Italy, near Venice. For the full story of my loco, look at my web site at the page "In costruzione".

Amazing! Must've been quite a challenge constructing her.
I suppose she burns something other than coal to make her steam?
Shipwright1918 2 years ago
She burns LPG (very clean!!)
albertocelot 2 years ago
Ah. I suppose the tank car following the engine contains the LPG?
It's not that dissimilar to my Accucraft Ruby, which burns Butane..
Shipwright1918 2 years ago
Yes, the LPG is in the tank

And that's your garden?!? Blimey. That's one big old house/garden combination

Impressive model. How long did it take to build that?
edj66 2 years ago
Six and half years. I spent one year at the PC to make all 3D CAD drawings starting from original drawings
albertocelot 2 years ago
Again, simply superb.
