In Poland, we have Juwenalia (Iuvenalia in latin). I think Juwenalia are similar to Vappu because we drink and dance a lot on concerts and partys in academics capitols ;D

PS. Gaudeamus Igitur is used to the biggest academical ceremony like open or end of academic year, less on high school ceremony. I just love that hymn!

Exactly the same version was emitted at the beggining of new Academic Year at Faculty of Law and Administration of Silesia University. I can even recognise the same voices and notes as they were. Shame that I did not know anything about this song earlier although my status as a student is by no means short. They could have sung the phrase about "omnes virgines" that is at the very end of the song. So I feel incumbent to add: Vivant omnes virgines!
