Guage has 1.1 bar of boost which is not stock. Stock is around 0.7 bar. Car has an aftermarket ECU upgrade.which I recommend on every 996.

Hey, that was my car. I did that run about 6 years ago. That was the top tune for a 996tt at that time. Now they are much faster. The car was dynoed by disconnecting the front drive shaft. This run was on I40.

i drive only a 330ci cabrio bmw, which btw im looking forward to sell to buy the 911 turbo which is why im looking at so many vids of it.

any ways the boxster S has 310 hp and 0-100km in 5.2 sec, and the m3 has 420 hp and 0-100km in 4.8 sec. The boxster being (i think) ugly and m3 amazing.

what m3 are you refering to?? e46 or e90;s? boxter doesnt necessarily excel in its straight line speed. But it has the weapon to match a coupe m3 in terms of handling. The coupe m3 needs to be match with the cayman S imo. Tho if you're refering to the the e90 & e92 there's noway even a cayman s could match that beast.

Both excel as a car, with the highest level of engineering and heritage. It'll comes down 2 personal reference in the end. To me i'll take e30 m3 anyday =D

I have owned both, i dont believe a boxster is 5" lower? i agree that the boxster handling is pretty perfect, not sure its "much" better than the 911, as my 911 is 4wd and has PSM, and as the engine is over the rear wheels the traction is superb, you should not really compare the two, the boxster is mid engined 2 seater, the 911 rear engined 2+2. M3 is a salloon car - not comparable to porsche :0)

@leonthalion PLEASE learn a little before making such comments, ALL 996 turbos leave the factory with standard 4wd and PSM ( porsche stability management). This car may have been changed as it certainly has been remapped, stock is 0.7 bar. Mine does 1.0 bar with a DMS remap and 202mph. GT2 and GT3 are RWD.
