This is great quality compared to the rest I've seen. I just noticed when he says, "gimme some a love got to have all your love" I though he said got to pray for your love. Great song especially that last part.
@jbdrums1 That`s an EKO bass guitar. I was at a guitar show in 1990, and this guy said he had a whole WHAREHOUSE full of `em. Seems nobody wants these old relics.
@TheTommybuck Yup, that's Creed from The Office. What I heard is that he's not really acting on the show. That's just kind of how he really is. After seeing this video, I honestly can believe that pretty easily.
@TheTommybuck Yup, that's Creed from The Office. What I heard is that he's not really acting on the show. That's just kind of how he really is. After seeing this video, I honestly can believe that pretty easily.
What kind of guitars and basses do they have? They look similar to Paul McCartney's Hoffner. Just curious. I'm a drum person and don't know much about guitars and basses.
Definitely lip-synching. But it's great to see the members on stage together anyway. Thanks go to SixtiesPopGold for posting this excellent quality version!
yes they are watching each other because moves could be the end...BUT they were actually singing they just had music in background and had to go with it
They musta all blazed a few fatties before there appearance, they werent called The Grass Roots for nothing.Alot of the bands back in the 60's recorded there songs on stage before their live tv peformance and played back the voices and instruments with lyp syncing. It wasnt rare.Look at alot of other bands their looking and doing the same thing. The Who on Smothers Brothers, only thing not fake the drums blowing up.LOL
@ApricotRse Hahaha i was thinking the exact same thing. What a wonderful clip in all its lip synched awesomeness. Ive been noticing that a lot of bands from this era had a hard time keeping a straight face. It looks like many of them are having a fun time though. Something they probably laughed about all night after the show.
Why does this talentless little BOY.....Have to be mentioned in every DAMN VIDEO POSTED ON YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!!!!.........This generation is HOOKED ON MEDIOCRITY!!!!!!!!!!!
@IStalkYourStalker You may be too young to remember this hair style was originated by The Beatles in the early 60s. The Grassroots was one of the greatest groups of the 60s. I have enjoyed their music since my early teens.my sister had a crush on Warren. It seems like only yesterday when I heard The Grassroots first song and now two of them have passed away. Our sincere Condolences to their familes. Rest in Peace Rob Grill and. Rick Coonce gone but never forgotten Thanks for the music
God Bless you Rob and condolences to your family. Your band and sound were sound tracks to my life. All American band my friends. Ya done great Rob, thanks!
I am so saddened that a man as beautiful and talented as Rob is no longer walking this earth, but I know it doesn't compare to the feeling of loss his loved ones must feel. At least his suffering is over, but the world lost a gifted artist. Perhaps he was too good for this world, and we were blessed to have him as long as we did. We have this footage and recordings to remember him by, his great contributions to the world of music. Now he sings with the angels. RIP Rob, you will be missed.
I remember this on tv & their hits on the radio-as a young girl. They played Santa Cruz beach about 15 yrs ago. It was packed. Such a cool talented guy, Rob is. All are so cute. Temptation Eyes is still a fav!
All these years later this remains one of the most gorgeous songs I've heard in my 55 years, an instant classic! Rob's family has had so much tragedy to deal with this past year, what with Rob's only son dying from cancer last year and now Rob's sudden passing. My prayers go out to the Grill family.
Seems to me Midnight Confessions was played a LOT more on the radio than this one, even though they both did comparably well on the Billboard charts. I wonder why? I actually prefer this tune. RIP Rob.
I'm playing this in your memory right now Rob. Thank you for bringing us the gift of your music, and for reminding us that we must always 'live for today'. Rest peacefully.
