@ImTheDaveman LOL. That's his normal volume and an indication of how much fun he was having. That purr can either be quite distracting or quite comforting when I try to get to sleep at night. It gets quite deafening when his mother, Nissa, joins in. She purrs just as loud.

BTW, I have that exact cardboard bed! They are soaked in catnip oil or something. I should record Pokey in hers. did I mention that already? I am sure I mentioned her cardboard bed under a cat video recently.

@HaligonianType1 I don't recall hearing about Pokey's cardboard cat bed but then I haven't watched all of your her videos yet. My cats used to love lying in an old pop cardboard flat but they don't ackage pop that way anymore. The cardboard cat bed is a good substitute. I have two of them. Someone was telling me that ginger cats are always male. It think that makes your Pokey rare. She's the only female ginger I've run across so far.

@HaligonianType1 I've been using my watermark since June ever since my videos started getting a bit more popular. It seemed a good way to prove ownership in the event of video theft.

@silverpoint16 Has it always been on the lower left? If so, that would explain my delay in noticing it when watching some of your other vids. My vision is degrading rapidly in my left eye. Typically I don't see the extreme left of any vids, unless I pan my head and I just spotted it today. :p

@tamithomas I think most cats like elastics. The trick is to keep them away from elastic bands which can harm them to something safer like hair elastics. I can't leave one out with Merlin stealing it so I bought him his own supply.

Merlin's Practicum for "Class 101: Tenacity in Thievery" with Professors Beau and Paws Galore (who are both outside of prison on bail). Dude Merlin scored so high in holding on to the 'stolen item' that fire officials had to be called in to use their 'jaws of death' in order to persuade him to release the item. At one point, fellow students thought Merlin might have been welded to the darn thing.

I love this, especially at the very beginning when he looses his prize booty...but still purring...and then gets it back! And he purrs louder! What a guy...I guess this could be included in his next spa visit...massage, then gum and tooth work ...As well as refining his purring range! Stereo purring is also a neat side benefit..to him, not for one trying to sleep!! Good luck with that!

@TheAmusingBunni He won't break his teeth. I'm carefully not to use too much force. Even with string the cat can get hurt if the human uses too much force. This is actually easier for him to hold than a string.
