  • Falling asleep to this track makes me feel like I'm drifting in space. Not a cold dark space but a warm invisible one with bright sparkles drifting by. Each one harbours a vocal spirit.

  • a couple songs which i think would fit your style very well : 1."help im alive by metric" 2. "jessica" by kaki king. anything elliott smith.

  • wow, I had to watch and listen to this song a few times to let it sink in....it is very atmospheric and beautiful. The blend of the video and music is smooth, yet poignant. You have an amazing vocal range. Well done!

  • Perfect fusion, between sound and voice.

    Very nice.

  • woooooow,just woooow,spechless,something so amazing<3

  • This is different, but I really dig it. It feels experimental and surreal, reminds me of House of Leaves for some reason. Great job very original.

  • now having listened to it a few times it has lost any scary aspects for me, they just disappeared. Lilofee was a young girl married by a merman. (first i thought it shows a widow but the Spanish veils look the same.) I feel the voices pouring down in the full moon's light portrayed very clearly. contrary to Keith I can't hear no wrong tone... very beautiful sundial btw. l&p :)

  • Yeah, I wanted more abstract footage for the song, which I finally found with the new years moon. The veil footage was a reflection of that image and is very minimal, disjointed and disrupts the ability to really objectify me so I don't know where Keith is coming from claiming that I'm in any way celebrating my appearance. I'm guessing he just wanted to knock me down a notch as he's tried to do in the past.

  • sort of converted love. I found interesting what he said, only directed at the wrong person. would be good stuff for a new song instead...

  • Thank you for your thoughtful comments.

  • thanx2! I loved to be thoughtful since i was 17, it's the fastest way to get into troubles... ;)

  • great video .and very original sounding music ..

  • Great job on the music and visuals - well done! :-)

  • Nice work! It'd be really cool if you'd write out the lyrics for this. Happy new decade, by the way! May it be happy, healthy & bat-shit bizarre.

  • Erin, this is most excellent...I love your mix...it is mysterious and hauntingly beautiful (and the video is perfect! *****

  • I'm glad you liked it :) Thanks!

  • Wow! Beautiful and haunting. Fantastic voice.

  • Many thanks <3

  • lovely at night time...

  • My response to this song is YES! I would be curious to hear this song in a passage with transitions for different tempos relating to different emotions and transitions in your life. A little Abbey Road, but this is not a class assignment, you are a gifted artist and I am but a fan.

  • Thank you for the feedback. I do have another version (the first) and its longer and has a contrasting section. I'll see if I can locate it.

    Cheers,

    E

  • I absolutely love this song. I know I keep saying this, but you have a really beautiful voice.

You are one of the greatest artists on youtube and I cant wait to see you make it big, something which I'm sure is just around the corner for someone as talented as you clearly are.

Love and best wishes. Dan xxx

  • You're very kind, Dan. Thanks for your support <3

  • Its my pleasure Erin.

    Love. Dan <3 xxx

  • F'n A! I've been hoping you'd make a video for this so i could put it at the top of my YT page, this ethereal,atmospherics-drenched epic soundscape, this haunting,some-say-harrowing-i-say-comforting sonic labyrinth, this one moment a cooing whisper the next your voice is taking off for the stratosphere vocal tour-de-force.You're becoming a great visual artist too, though i could've used less moon and more you or other things, the hyper-snapping your face into view is awesome.

  • Many thanks for your lovely words and feedback! I'd like to involve other people in creating the next one and make more of an appearance in the footage.

  • ...sounds a bit like the story of Lilofee, anyhow... (great sound and visual work indubitably...)

  • I see spirits! Very frosty.

  • yay! finally you release this song :) i used to listen to it months ago on your website. hey do you think you will be putting Living Ghosts on here too? thats my favorite haha :P Again, really great work! loves it!

  • I'm overjoyed that you like it! Thanks for suggesting Living Ghosts. I'm on a hunt for the right footage!

  • epic

  • wow, what he said.

  • I love it! It's a nice little startle when you pop in at the end..

  • Erin, this would have been great for a sequence for the program Dark Shadows. Very Erie...oooooh. 5*****s. GB. Ray

  • NICE....

  • This has been on my mp3player for more than 4 months and still scares me awake when it pops up as I'm drifting off. How did you do the effect on your vocal at 2:01 ?

  • Thanks! It scares me too. My own song scares me!

There isn't an effect at 2:01. What's going on is one vocal loop (heard more clearly at the beginning) was staked and repeated creating random peaks of intensity. I did put my lead vocals through a guitar amp reverb though if that's what you mean.

  • Yeah - It's the lead vocal I meant. It sounds like like you're inside a metal drum at the bottom of an empty swimming pool. It's a great sound and adds an extra jolt to an already unnerving song.

  • Nice song! Totally reminds me of late Nico's arrangements and a spooky version of PJ Harvey's White Chalk...

    Enjoyed this!

  • Wow! Thanks so much! I hadn't heard Nico yet when I recorded this but was a fan of PJ and really love 'White Chalk'.

  • eerie and great! Happy new year.

  • Thanks! Happy 2010 to you too!
