This man has played this quite differently from many others, much slower at the start, which was heart-wrenching, then much faster than others during the fast sections. He really impressed his personality onto it and made it his own. I think he goes too fast for my liking.
The Episode in the middle is absolutely stunning. I personally thought his interpretation of the introduction was a bit flighty and over-expressive, though very beautiful. Still... stellar piano playing.
Tres, tres jolly, tres bon job, qoi que c'est pas à moi de commenter le travaill des autres. Je ne comprends riens dans le technique, pour moi c'est parfait! Grand Merci! Bon continuation! Sincere!
A fine performance! Heartfelt, sensitive, controlled, well-played. I can see you modelied it after Horowitz. That's fine. You came close. You need------and DESERVE------a MUCH better piano.
I would emphasize the bass in the A-Major section and play at more expansive, broader tempo. It must be GRAND. Your coda was flat out marvellous.
and as i said i played it so i can comment:P at the alargando hes doing a piu mosso and then he comes to far and has to hold back id suggest him to hold a little back there.
i hate the people who think they can say something about music while theyre not even musicians themselves like you catmiu. Eduard Lenner is a pro-pianist he has his own interpretation and its very good, you will probably never manage what he's doing here so take lessons yourself and when your better then sir lenner come back to comment him. I play this piece myself im at the piu vivo thats about 5:20.
well it's the best ballade first student playing i've heard on youtube so far. but some parts I really don't get what you are trying to do. The beginning was pretty good, but it should have a sense of moving forward ... your beginning made me feel like you are going to fall in sleep any second!!!!!! some parts are too deliberate. It would be better if you can just take it easy and let the music take you.
This is so fucking godly... At first i was liek no way... this must be a MIDI...I love how your body and just flows with the piece so well.... How inspiring!!
Absolutely Stunning. I just got the sheet music today from a friend, but there is a smudge on the ink on the first page, it occurs at 00:34/5 in this video... can anyone tell me the notes please?
actually, i find the lack of excessive rubato refreshing; he doesnt burden the piece with too much unnecessary emotion. but then again, thats just my opinion....
WOW...I don't play piano, but I wish I could! By watching you, I really need to buy at least a cheap keyboard and start learning. Chopin is the Master! Great JOB!
I'm going to play as well as he does !!!! practise makes perfect

@catmiu Please shut up. He is one of the few pianists who actually plays the very beginning at an appropriate tempo.
