  • sounds like willys jeep

  • hey would it be possible to make a straight 5 engine ?

  • lovin it!:DD

  • You should try powering it by water

  • Slovenec :D MB4LIFE

  • Thats interessting that the modified switches sometimes sounds like "farts". :)

  • @STKhero 1. it's not our invention, we just made a lego version

    2. pneumatic engines actually do see indrustrial applications, and are even used in a few models of small city cars (some dutch company makes them).

In lego terms, they are very fun and interesting to build and run. They're not here to change the world.

  • @nicjasno then why waist time, money, and space on this little thing if it does nothing but turn on make a shit load of noises and turn off.

  • @STKhero Why do most people (emphasis on most) do anything? because its fun.

  • @STKhero why waste time , money(your internet network) and space (temp file on your hardrive and youtube's) to post this retarded comment that does nothing apart form spearding hate

  • @OtakuBaron well its not like i wouldnt have internet if it werent for this video.... i would have internet and be on youtube anyway, so not a waste of money, and im sure that youtube and my 1tb hdd / storage unit can fit this tiny little 1kb comment. any other questions?

  • @nicjasno evne the little bit helps! keep it up and keep 'em posted!

  • @STKhero Because it's fun. :)

  • @STKhero

why would u make such a stupid, retarded comment like that!?! You dumbfuck its suppose to be a test a creativity and exercise the human mind. You never know, we could be driving lego vehicles in the future.. (omfg that would fkn be sweeet)

  • @InsanityRewritten well first off, no we will NEVER EVER be driving lego cars, even in the year 1989199199191991991991919191919919199 we wont be that far ahead

  • @STKhero

rofl dude it was just a joke lmao... You never know, take a little car frame and a crazy fast lego engine and you might go 2 mph :D

  • @STKhero And you just watched something that does nothing to the world? So what If he wants to build an LPE? What you like to do might not be something others like to do.

  • @STKhero Congrats, your comment made no difference at all.

  • Sounds a bit like a plane motor.

  • Where can you get the rpm gauge

  • how???? pleaaaass tell me..

  • VEEEETAKKKK!!!!!

    (VTEC) -____-

  • nah .... we have to wait till it hits 5000rpm XD

  • Hey!!! A civic engine!

  • But still cool!!

  • my go kart does like 11000 rpm

  • that's steel and fuel. this is lego and air

  • 11k? On what it runs

  • Is your go kart an inline 4?

  • Comment removed

  • Everytime i run my own engine i think im so good, but evertime i look on yours i think im still a noob, but anyways. At least i have my lego Titanic. none of you can ever beat that.

  • ditto

  • not build a giant lego car and put it inside it :) omg why has nobody done that yet? a 1:1 working lego car!!

  • is it pneumatic? if it is is it using a large or small cylinder... its just so small though so i dont see how a cylinder can fit in there...

  • It uses large cylinders. Check out my other videos for better and faster engines, where you can see the cylinders too.

  • only problem is keeping it cool...

  • It stays very cool. The tubings and cylinders even start accumulating water droplets, because the expanding air cools.

  • it is actually easy to make an engine but it is very hard to make it look and operate like a reallife engine ;) and thats what makes this one so great ^^

  • lol, it sounds like a VW Beetle! 5/5

  • these arent kits

it was 100% custom made by nicjasno.

    check out his website

  • go to lpepower

  • it need some lubrication , i imagine what smells that

  • how do you make a good compressor for something like this?

  • get a huskey 250 psi air compresor for 150 bucks at home depot and have all the air you want :P

  • go to home depot and buy one lol. thats the compressor you sue for one of these :D

  • it even sounds like an inline 4! great job

  • Hey what lego materials did you use for the cylinders and pistons? I'm at the planning stages of making a straight-4 and am trying to figure out the best pieces to use.

    Thanks

  • Nice, smooth egnine but did you glue the tubes so they wouldn't pop off?

P.S. I have tubes that can only withstan 30 p.s.i but I thnk it's just becuase they are old and warn out. And, how much p.s.i did you use for this engine?

  • where can i buy pnuematics?

  • ebay

  • does it have much power? as in could you use it in like a lego car or something? that would be awesome...

  • Pneumatic engines with big cilynders have a lot of power. Check out my v8 engines. They move 5kg cars with ease.

  • right because a plastic lego engine can handle fire. Great job, sounds engine like.

  • i tried building this engine but i ran out of those damb little cam things and had to give up after the third cylinder, but its pretty basic. and i love it when i get more peices i am def going to build it and use it to power somthing, great desing!!

  • I built it myself. Check my V8 engines.

  • where did you find this... ive been looking everywhere for a working pneumatic lego engine.... even ebay. where did you get this?

  • Awesome! it kinda reminds me of a BL A or B series at idle! build a Lego Mini to put it in, how cool would that be?! ;)

  • Very nice

  • Is that an actual fire breathing engine?!?!

  • it pnematic(compressed air ), so im afraid it wont breath fire

  • Your engines are awesome. Lets see them hooked up to some RC cars or something.

  • This is awesame!! I'd like to build one but I dont have the right peices of lego. Anyone know where to get all the stuff?

  • If you check my profile, the video of the v8 is online.

  • Have you had any pieces melt from all the friction?

  • Only once. But that was due to bad construction. I'm now finalizing a v8. Video will be up in the coming 2 days.

  • nicjasno your my lego hero

  • Just add some olive oil?

  • :) That's good.

  • put it in a mazda lol

  • Sounds like my old 1991 Nissan Sentra lmao Nice work!

  • I sense a plane out of that!

  • i don't want to stick my finger in that!

  • YEHA, more rpm's!! rev that B up!

  • can you show the guts of it?

  • MOOOOOORE RPM´s please!!!!!!!! :-)))))))

  • Wow. You can turn this thing into a real car.

  • they have built a car that runs on air

  • That's WAY better than the Engine on my profile! Good job!

  • man this is asome were did you get all the peces

  • what does it run on?

  • Compressed air.

  • what does it run on?

  • so that is some cool lego. im tinking that that engine can let a a gocart driving

  • wow sounds like a real engine

  • A bit like those old planes :)

  • show the back of that thing!!!

  • wow thats awesome

  • Didnt that wear out your axels really quickly

  • No. The axles don't wear. But the rubber seals inside the lego cylinders and switches do wear.

  • I love the sound.

    Nice vid.

  • its amazing the legos didnt fly off i mean they are just bricks fitted into another.....

  • It's more complex than that. And because of that it's not so amazing. :0

  • Superglue? :)

  • Just smart lego technic engineering.

  • He has used glue in some places. Poor LEGO bricks.

  • NOOO he hasn't. i made an engine that runs at 2060 rpm and the frame still isn't glued so thier.

  • sounds so nice yea......

  • pneumatic?

  • Yes, it's pneumatic.

  • 1o1 =))

  • .. if you linked that up to the largest gear lego offer, spinning the smallest, then linked that to a axel

    OH SH*T that'd be STUPID-ly fast!

  • but have almost no torque and would probably bind the engine unless he managed to make a transition that would allow him to up/down shift

  • yeah, BUT, if i can be honest, if he had a pair of smaller wheels,

lighter and that'd be one hell lot easier to spin, it could nicely work, (if he got a good differencial)

  • it looks really cool but what's it supposed to be?

  • hm... so fast even makes blurs ?!

  • the sound remindes me of an old model ferrari engine

    5 stars from me

  • thats cool it even sounds nice lol

  • nice build, five stars

  • brilliant incredible websit too

but don't u use a proper air compressor

  • I do use a industrial air compressor with a 50 liter air tank.

  • thats why its fast try doin it with a lego compressor

  • Thats the point dumbass. It's faster with a real air compressor. The lego one is just for fun. Nice engine man.

  • Whats the point then if using the lego one and get it working efficiently u could put the lego rc stuff on a car, especcially the ones he makes. How is the lego one just for fun u say that at the end of the day legos just a plastic kids toy but adults use it.

  • dude nicjasno made a v8 stuck it in a 2005 mustang lego car with a tranmission and gearbox so shut up! lets see you make one! hes da best

  • i know. i've seen it.i don't have the parts to make what he makes but i proberly could.

  • how did get the engine to rev up that hi. I only got my engine to do 192 rpm

  • Just been on your website - truly amazing - More people like you should be designing real cars - not these stupid marketing men - you are a true engineer - I'm staggered by your attention to detail!

  • Can you get an instruction kit for building one??? if so where???

  • theres is instruction for the v8 engine inline and some other thibgs but not the Mustang yet on his site

  • try putting that on a rc car dude

  • ok i've built this engine!!! :D

    but i havent a compressor...

with how many bars does it work?

i want to know, because my isnt fast enough...

  • hm... I think it was something like 4 bars.

  • wow i have to test it an a petrol store...

    sry for my english :/

  • thats pretty crazy, i would really like to know how to make one. I have a v8 myself, but it isn't as well built. Although i can say that mine is faster!! :)

  • I'd like to see that.

  • nice job but i would make an engine from my own parts but as u know thats not that easy to do because that can be money. u gotta have a machine shop to sculpt those part perfectly. even while injecting in a perfectly made mold if you wanit to b exact the metal has to constantly be injected into the mold because as you know solids are more dense so as the molten metal in the mold cools it'll shrink and won't be exact intended size. so constant injecting after cooling. tedious and energy consumer

  • sounds like a real one

  • I built A lego turbocharger for this application send me some plans!!! that is awesome

  • beautiful engine. runs great

  • I might in the future. But not of the engine in the video. All my engines are completly studless now, and run better. Not faster, but they run smoother and have more power. And are smaller in size.

  • well then could u just sell the modded tubing, cylinders, axls, and that wierd black gear? i really like that one the most.

  • ( by i like that the most i mean engine)

  • hey nicjasno could you make kits and sell these on ebay? I just don't have the parts or the tools to make and mod the engine.Very nice though, extremely fast

  • You should get some help from these guys who have made some decent lego transmissions

  • that's awesome...5 stars

  • That's an absolutely great work! Thank you for your construction plans.

I have already downloaded them and I will try to built the engine, too.

  • omg build a car it will be soo fast

  • lol its looks like its going to explode!

  • I designed it.

  • did u design it or did it have intructions?

  • pretty freakin awesome

  • your lucky

  • zgleda kr dobr!

  • It runs on compressed air and is lubed with silicon lubricant, since oil is bad for the lego plastics and rubber seals in the cylinders.

  • what does it run on

  • i have built one of these and its amazing.

i have also built a v8 version that i was planning on using to power a project but after building it i hod no more pieces

  • give it some oil and it will go faster :)

  • You can download full instructions for it on nicjasno(dot)com

    :)

  • How does it work?

  • Do you have to lube the moving parts,or is the plastic smooth enough?Maybe it might spin faster with a little graphite powder.
