Are those cedar chips in Shelby's cage? Shelby would be even happier and long-lived if you didn't use those. I use little blankets, old towels and comfortable rugs for my piggies' cage.

Oh my gosh, this is SO FREAKING CUTE! It makes me want a guinea pig...although my dogs are jack russels, so you can kinda see where that might lead...which would be very sad. So I guess I'll have to envy people who can watch their guineas popcorn all day and night. until I get one. it's just so cuuuuuuute!

Some guinea pigs prefer to be solitary especially if you give them enough attention. We bought 2 females and one was pregnant - After the birth they wouldn't get along anymore so one of them had to live alone. She lived till she was about 7 and was a happy piggie.
i got one from petsmart and it died really quick. it was sickly. also petsmart has been boycotted before because that happens a lot to their guinea pigs

Disregard Cindys' comment. You SHOULD have at least two but you don't HAVE too, guinea pigs can live fine by themselves if you talk,play, and have fun with them. But it is better to have two so they can play while you're not home.

It's really mean to keep guinea pig alone! in sweden there's even a law that says that guinea pigs shall be kept at least two and two. U can get up to two years in prison if u break that law cus it's considered as animal cruelty. sorry for bad english :)
i might get a pair of female guinea pigs and i have a question : once they're used to me, is it ok to have them run on my bed and stuff or will they try to escape ??
sooo cute! thats wat my piggies do sometimes when I clean out their cage completely and make these soft beds for them, but they popcorn everywhere that it messes up the beds i made! lol. watch my vid too!
That is just so cute! Is she an abyssinian piggy? My piggy just loves jumping on the bed, and when he gets tired, he just falls asleep, piggies are just so adorable. :)
