A little new age, a little rock, some great Native American influences. Totally awesome! I first saw them on RFD channel w/the Sioux City Orchestra in a Christmas concert. I'm hooked.
What a fantabulous group. I just love these beautiful talented musicians the style is magnificent. LOVE that flue solo with band, truly a WOW moment for the "Flute" in this gals mastery. WOW!!! Love you Paul LaRoche truly a UMMM beautiful soul. GREAT BAND!!!! 5***** Plus. Paul and Nicole what beautiful music you make together. This is one of my fave's. Peace and Love to you dears.:)
Aside from the awesome flute that really added to the epic sound, I could just watch her, any girl who can play an instrument, becomes even that much more attractive that naturally given.
I happen to catch this group on pbs one night when i was flipping through the channels, their music filled me with such emotion I was brought to tears. Their music speaks to the soul.
brought to tears ok but i no these guys my mom worked with a guy who works with them the guitarest shane gave my bro a amp cored so yeah i no them we r good friends.
Pure JOY to watch/listen to this group, and they're the most JOYFUL musical group ever seen/heard! Just watched their Mt. Rushmore concert on PBS and fell in love. Makes you want to go to Lakota country and don feathers and buckskin! :-) Just the BEST. So inspiring! And Nicole, on the flute, is absolutely fantastic--amazing energy and virtuoso skill!
Nicole is unbelievably talented on the flute. In past songs I've noticed the breathing being fairly noticeable while she is playing the flute. She does have to breathe. Because of the breathing being obvious, I think Nicole has tried to make it part of the effect of the music and I think she does a superb job of doing that. I don't know about you, but I've not seen anyone playing a classic flute that can make it sound like a native flute. Nicole, you're simply amazing.
The breathing noise in this song is intentional and is probably used to simulate something. She is a phenomenal flutist (at times can be a little overblown) but I have seen them in performance many time and know the breathing isn't usually like this so I can only assume it is for effect.
I am moved in a way that is astounding.I have a new favorite group now.Husband happended to hear you on PBS. The flute is magnificent and inspiring.....Something stirred in my soul..Great Gypsyheart
have listened to Brule for years, their music is fantastic, I have only one problem though, Nicole over blows on her flute. Sometimes it takes away from the music.
A truly inspirational group, I saw them 2 weeks ago at Mt R and met them after their set and played their Mt R CD all the way across SD, Wyoming and Nevada and into CA - great for those endless miles on I80.
Love Nicole's flute playing but I don't forget the others it's a great blend of culture and modern instrumentation.
The members of Brule are my friends. I know them because some one my mom used to work with does work with Brule. Paul told me and my brother that he is my Lokota Friend For LIFE. Can't wait to see them again!
I Know These People. They Are My Friend. They work with someone my mom used to work with. The person who mainly talks is Paul, Guitar is Shane, Drummer Moses, The flute is Nichol. As Paul told me and my brother this. He is our Likota Friend For LIFE. I saw The Band the past two years. We got a singed cd one yar and a fre t-shirt this year, Cant wait to see them again.
WoW, they've all changed so much since I've seen them perform last in Kansas City (when Eagle was still with them) a couple of years ago, except Paul-he never changes! Love u guys, you still sound AWESOME!!!!
Damn - flute girl is bad ass!! lol..
