First time I've ever heard a prospective politician saying "I am a Liberal."... and saying it without blinking and going on to say what a Liberal imagines, what he wants, our society to be. That's awesome! Only in Minnesota.... I'm glad to have moved here, although it's a sad thing to also have witnessed the passing of the great late Paul Wellstone, another unabashed Liberal...
As of today (5/15/07) this video has had 5,237 views. Most all comments are favorable; however contributions are an intricate part of getting elected. If anyone who reads this wishes to contribute please do so. Just Google Al Franken & it will take you to his campaaign site. You DON'T have to live in MN to help out; please do your part. You can contribute whatever you wish; even if it's only $5.-$10.. Every dollar DOES help & remember there's power in #'s. It all adds up fast! Let's help Al!
Al's a great comedian & very intelligent. He's running for the U.S. Senate in Minnesota as you know. He's running a grass roots campaign that depends on small contribution from the average person; his opponents (Norm Coleman) is finance mainly by BIG money special interest groups (oil, pharmaceutical, etc.). You don't have to live in MN to contribute to Al's campaign. So please just google his name & it will take you to his site. Even $2.-$5. (it adds up fast). Thanks & GO AL!
When I heard Al speak live here in Missoula back in September of 2006 I hoped someday he would run. He helped us get a great senator elected, Jon Tester I hope that Minnesotan's see Al's wisdom and common sense approach and put another well spoken progressive in the capitol.
Boring on the radio, and very unfunny. Has all the makings of being yet-another burden on society serving in government. Qualifications=liberal, meathead, taking up space and creating content for conservative talk show hosts.

I hate to lose him to politics, but it's a good thing. We need more people like him in politics. He'll do well when he wins.
