What a gorgeous horse, and what an honor to be invited every year to exhibit at the Tennessee Football Homecoming Game. Is there any other breed or discipline of horse that is honored and revered by everyone from the Governor to the Secretary of Agriculture to a leading university like the fabled Tennessee Walking Horse?
poor thing :( no one should suppot this! have any of yall seen what they do to the legs?? get more backround information and then judge! ist animal abuse!
@bensh1994 riight! ther is no abuse on this planet right? lmao r u kidding me? do you eveb ride? do you know ANYTHING about those kind of horses? do you? well if you would you wouldnt say that! go on youtube and check out other videos smart ass! they poor acid on the legs, hit nails in the hoof so they lift the legs up higher bla...im not saying all the ppl do that! most of them sure do.
@0oAJo0 yes i actually ride every single day of my life and I show a pretty good bit. My family has shown tennessee walking horses for 70 years and we have never used acid. and the nails are to hold on any kind of shoes including the pads that we use. the hoof of a horse is a fingernail type of material so there is no pain in putting shoes on a horse. i also know many people in the show business and i have rarely heard of this acid thing ( i watched the videos, i know what you are talking about)
@0oAJo0 I also love animals very much and i would never put them in harms way i even work for an equine vet. but another thing the name calling is unnecessary and immature. i am a christian and i really dont believe in cussing and name calling to get my point across. you can do it without that.

@bensh1994 no shit! i totally have my own horses and ive been riding for more than 20 years, been doing competitions for15 so dont play smart on me lmao.didnt i say some ppl do that?yup did so.read what i write.and my horses dont need shoes at all fyi.and it depends on HOW you put them in.but if you saw the vid you should know what im talking about.btw ive seen it too.
@0oAJo0 Ok, NO, YOU READ WHAT I WRITE!!!! Those stupid people make those videos to make us all look bad. Those people over react and they want us all to suffer. And I didnt say your horse needs shoes I just explained that it doesnt hurt them to put shoes on. I was just telling you from my experience I havent heard of this soreing thing very much. I wasnt trying to "play smart" and I have seen the video I'm not an Idiot!
@bensh1994 oooh my gosh you need to come down and stop taking everything way too seriouse!! im agreeing with you in most of the points so stop being so fucking rude to me!!!
@0oAJo0 Oh my Gosh you are the one being rude to me. I am explaining something to you and your getting all crazy and cussing at me. I dont see how you can put your input in this subject anyways you said you dont show so whats the point!?!?!?!
@bensh1994 i sure do shows!! i ride dressage!!! get it now? yup? good! i think the ppl who do those horses wrong should get punished and i dont think this one got treated better. but i dont know so what ever. ok done with this bs now? thank you.

queenluciaa that's funny because there are a lot of performance TWH's that still show and win at 20, 25, and 30 years old. There's even a WGC title class for Classic aged horses, aged 15 and up and its always a big and exciting class to watch. How many Racing horses are winning at the age of 30 like multi WC NewYork NewYork, multi WC Silver design, Multi WC Hello Generator, multi WC Generator's Champion etc etc.
This is not a representative of a natural Tennessee Walking Horse. How much better if they had chosen a natural athlete to represent their team, instead of one who can only win if doctored, shod, and ridden in a bizarre manner.
How sick! I am going to write to the Vols and let them know the truth about how these "Big Lick" Tennessee Walkers are trained. I am also going to get others to complain and make sure a "Big Lick" Walker never again is allow to be associated with the Vols. Owners and Trainers of these "Big Lick" horses will destroy the breed.
@fanninfire Big Lick is a beautiful thing. The old days are over and things are done the right way. So why don't you go watch some videos of Jumpers and cry to them about how they miss treat there horses
I completely argee with you. "Big Licks" or performance shod walkers are gorgeous and most are pretty well taken care of. The farm i use to ride for never sored a horse and we had several wonderful big lick horses
Go Vols!! would have loved to have been there to see this great horse. Thanks for posting the video. I had asked over at the Vol Nation Forum for someone to please video this for me - Thanks again!!!!
Great to get invited to a big event like that but man that gait is screwed up. It just looks ugly, like peanut rolling in western pleasure.
What happened to natural beauty?
I will now proceed to laugh my ass off. :]

I own a TWH and I'd never do that to him. It's all about money and status.

Not until they have chronic arthritis. These poor animals can barely move when their in their 20s.
