  • His bowling is class apart,no doubt....freaking Champ....been numerous occassions where he has bailed India out of crisis.

But,what I also like about him is his humble, down to the earth persona. And boy,his voice is fantastic:such a deep baritone. He will make for a good commentator!!!

  • Nice video.. Lol! Rob hasn't lost his knack of rubbing up zealot Indians the wrong way. Look at the video title. Fine video, nonetheless and good to see a young Kumble.

  • @Imrankniazi Whats wrong with the title??

  • @robelinda2 Given Kumble's (lack of) performances in Australia, I have trouble believing that you genuinely consider him a "legend". Not exactly a universal champion.

He was a bit of a condition-dependent bowler; not too dissimilar to Derek Underwood, for instance.

You have a knack of naming your videos and providing descriptions in a fashion that'd attract maximum comments (positive and otherwise). It's an art that I admire, tbh. Cheers, man and good videos!

  • @ImrankniaziNo you have me wrong, im a massive Kumble fan. See this is where people seem to not understand Aussies, not all of us are one eyed supporters, its absurd to think that we only like aussies. Always been a huge Kumble fan.

  • @robelinda Of course, I know you are not one-eyed. Viv Richards is perhaps one of your fav cricketers. It's just that Aussies generally don't seem to rate players who haven't performed very well in Australia.

Chappelli and Lillee have said so publically on a few occasions. Seems to reflect the psyche.

Great/fine players like Glenn Turner, Cullinan, Murali, Amiss and Inzamam are not rated very highly by most Australians that I've spoken to for this reason. Kumble wasn't much of an away bowler.

  • @Imrankniazi I even uploaded Kumble's great SCG bowling from 2004! Maybe the stupid redneck aussies dont appreciate players who havent done well in Australia but that is a crazy stance, Australia is just one country out of many. Quality players are quality players.

  • @robelinda2 Fair enough, mate. I was never a great fan of Kumble although I respected him as a trier.

Btw, just saw this video of Holding lambasting the IPL and the way BCCI is running the ICC. Thought it was high time someone said this. I've never heard such justified anger in his voice. See this - watch?v=suQc7alowPg

  • @Imrankniazi bloody IPL! hate it. Holding annoys me sometimes but he was right on the money in that vid.

  • @robelinda2 I have already spilled my rant in that video comments. Test cricket lovers must demand greater accountability from their boards and players need to sort out their priorities.

Sadly, that's not going to happen as long as corrupt politicians are running the ICC. Too many diplomats/politicians and very few genuine lovers of the game is precisely what's wrong with cricket's (mis)management at this point in time.

  • @robelinda2 intresting analogy rob...what do u think? would the stupid redneck aussies get along with their american counterparts?? hmmmm......could be a plot for a C graded movie......btw great display of bowling into the rough by kumble

  • @Imrankniazi As an Indian, even I like trolling rabid Indian fans. Especially Sachin supporters. I have been a Sachin fan since I was 6, and all I can say is that those pricks who destroy conversations by elevating SRT to divinity are doing more harm than good to his reputation. I would troll rabid Pakistani fans, but it would be misconstrued as nationalism. There should be forum where Indians and Pakistanis can make fun of each other without resorting to calling each other pig/cow fuckers.

  • @Imrankniazi I don't think anything less can be fitting this man. Be a fan of cricket not of a team

  • @pavankpbhat "Be a fan of cricket not of a team"

I see :-) Have a look around my other comments to see if I am a fan of the game or a certain team. You miscontrue my cricketing comment on Kumble's bowling as being biased against a nation.
