Sweet homemade bass man. Might I recommend 2 A strings and 2 g strings? I think even les uses that setup on full scale basses sometimes and I've used it as well and makes for ease of playability. Keep up the good work I wanna see more of this stuff!

i believe i did have it as close as i could get it to regular tuning, lol I dont know the scale, i just made the neck look like it matched the body, It's totally caveman and took me awhile, getting the frets spaced right. spacing the frets the right distance apart AND keeping them all straight took me a while since i didn't really know what i was doing, lol and my newest one sounds allot better using a neck already fretted. Glad you liked it it was fun to play. Can't wait to see yours

I used regular bass strings, dont remember what gauge they were but the low E seemed to be a bit too fat, so i took it off, moved the other strings up, and used a low E from a guitar for my highest string.

how'd you make that and how much did it cost?

i just drew the shape, cut it out of some scrap spruce i had laying around, the keys were about 30 bucks they are guitar keys, the fret board was like 3 bucks, the contact mic was $2.99 at radio shack and the bridge was off a junk guitar i got for free and the fret wire was about 3 bucks so about $40.00 i spent.

Thanks man, I plan to make a full size someday, but the reason I made them so small is the scraps of wood I had laying around weren't big enough to make anything bigger, so I figured I could atleast get a little practice at making one being the first one I have ever made and didn't really know what I was doing, lol thanks again for the compliment.
