  • I've listen to the entire recording of this piece and I am completely breathless. I am taking back my prior comment and stating that this is the best recording of the Bruckner's 5th. I am so glad that you posted this recording because I was content with his earlier Phillips recording with the Concertgebouw.

I had look around so many second hand CD stores and I finally found it. I am so happy with this performance that I am not looking to buy another CD.

    Thank you very much again.

  • I dont know about you folks, but this end for me is the perfect setting in music of the solemn moment of the mass, when the priest elevates the already transubstanciated host that is the body and blood of Christ our Savior.

I hope Brickner is now in the company of Him Whom he served so well throughout his music all his life on earth.

  • I 've never hear this performance but one part that I am not in favor of his performance of Bruckner's 5th symphony is the accerleration leading to the CODA . It seems that there is less of an acceleration compared to the historic recording of 1964 (concertgebouworkest). Clearly one of the greatest conductor of Bruckner.

Thank you very much for posting this recording.

  • Stunning.

  • Bravo!!

  • Bruckner's greatest coda. If not the finest EVER composed .

  • Thank you for posting what is now my favourite rendition of this masterpiece :)
