  • GOD thet was slow, i mean really slow... 2.2 vtec and slow as a shit..

BMW e36 with the same amount of power do 230km/h no problem. This one ...

dude you need to buy a civic with b16a engine MPG is very good and they do 200 no prob... GOD..

  • Well I had for 5 years the 91' Honda Civic 1.4 and now I am buying the 93' Honda Prelude 2.2 ws with 185 hp Can't wait !!! :) cheers

  • Dam, that is epic slow for a vtec 5speed lude.

  • 2 bad preuleds are shit

  • to bad this car is really slow

  • lol rich daddy i work from 8 till 5 everyday and i probably work alot harder than you do pal

  • @jimikestell1 please i used to work 5 to 5, 6 days a week as a butcher

  • whats ur grandma"s number i like older lady :)

  • I want your grandmas car.

  • thats only like 100 miles an hour lol my dad does that in has everyday Audi on the way home from work

  • well shit bro no ones spoiled like you with a rich daddy, some of us have to work and this is what we can afford so fuck off

  • have any of you toped out your ludes yet.

i recently had it like 235... scary shit i tell ya!!! make your tire pressure and shit is OK cause man woooooo!

and if you pass a semi hold the fuck on tight hahah

  • you have never had your car to 235.

  • dude... yes i have... why would i say that if i didnt do it :S just recently on the coquihalla on my way to kelowna i had it to 200+

and i had it at 240 on the highway between chilliwack and abbotsford.

dont tell me that i didnt go 235 when i did. but believe what u want buddy. 235 isnt even that fast compared to some cars.

dont believe me? my rpms were at 7 grand why dont you try it with your car.

  • lool i think he meant 235 kph rofl, if so its easily possible (well not easily but you get the picture)

  • obviously he meant kph, lots of international people watch this video if you saw the prelude in the video has a foreign license plate....

  • @jmarshall6969 I got up to 190, but ran out of road and never got into 5th gear

    apparently they can hit 240

  • would be very close wit my gsr 4g93t

  • Funny thing is just bought a 1997 prelude, with the DOHC VTEC 2.2l H22a motor in it. This thing stock is unbelieveable how fast she goes.

  • Im picking up my 98 prelude SH tomorrow, completely stock :)

  • I have a 2002 S2000 befor that i had a 1997 Honda prelude , and i actually like the prelude a lil more . But i Noticed My 1997 Prelude was a lil faster then the 1998-2001 Type SH models

  • prelude 2.2 vti

    manuel

    atomatic

how fast they do from 0-100km/h?

  • manuel - 7.2sec

  • which car would be faster a stock silvia s15 spec R or a Honda prelude 5th gen??I've seen that the silvia's cost a litttle bit more than the prelude's but I like the prelude's looks

  • If I were you, I would get a Prelude. It is pure-bred sports car, and screamer engine sound. I think the Silvia is bit faster but the Prelude looks cooler, sounds cooler, and fun to drive.

  • i hafto agree with skarotum there is something about this car it just makes me love it

  • I've always wanted a Prelude. I'm on the fence for my next car. The Prelude, WRX or Evo. I know the WRX and Evo are faster, but there is just something that I like about The Lude.

  • i have an accord 2.2 v-tec too... 97º is it the same engine?

  • It depends if you have a sohc VTEC or a DOHC VTEC but prelude this fast with stock, I'd bet it's a DOHC

  • i think the SH come with an OEM lip lol

  • the atts system (automated torque transfer system) and four wheel steering hence the SH (super handling)

  • did anyone see the work stock?

  • yo if u slammed your prelude.

that thing would look pretty sick.

and add a lip kit. then u have a sweet fukin car.

im glad to see someone hasn't put some cheezy ass body kit on.,

    so i give you a 5/5

  • Thanks, lip kit is fine it looks much better.

Lude is pretty heavy (1350) this is not track-day car so no need to be fast with this, for that i have b20 ITR :)

  • 1350 kilos, ofcourse

  • @infinity2904 Preludes are only heavy because you choice it to be so. I own a BB6 so without 4ws, and no airco. And it only weights 1190 kilos. I further reduced it with help of carbon, if I would lose everthing and make it a track car, then below 1000 kilos would be possible, but its a daily driver so I wont. Nice car though and dont wreck it please. :D

  • @infinity2904 how reliable are these cars looking into buying one

  • h22 fucking fast shit

  • thats way to slow for 2.2 v-tech dude

  • think there is something wrong with ur car. mine is a 98 5th gen 2.2 vtec. waaay faster and all stock..

  • Well, maybe its slow, maybe fast, so let me tell you my opinion:

Prelude is very strange car for me. It is not sport car (due to high weight 1350kg and normal engine - just count hp/1 liter) also it is not limusine or any other lux car.

Anyway car have bigger potentional. You can raise over 35hp on engine just by bolt-ons without ecu tuning. With cams you can get 260ps+ and over 240 of torque. If you put down weight, put there shorter gearbox, you can put down cars like evo/sti...

  • Car on video is totaly stock on 18" wheels with less then 40k miles - it´s not any race car, so dont need to be fast, just ride for fun, if anyone understands..

  • @infinity2904 dang, thats good performance for a stock honda

  • I got a 2001 Prelude too dude....H22. I don't consider it a "fast" car...like my friend drives a 2009 WRX and it has an STI turbo...THAT'S a fast car. However, I'm in love with the look of the Prelude, and for what it is, it's pretty fucking fast. Just think, stock for stock, it can take down almost anything in its class...(except for Cobalt SS's and RSX Type-S's) everything else I poop on.

  • just 0-60 their slow, but hightway they seem descent

  • i live in montreal and drive a 93 accord, fucking reliable, but unfortunatly, due to winter and salting it rusts like a fucker. do these bad boys rust? cause its either a prelude h22 or a spec-v! lol which are the better years?

  • the 4th generation (92-96) are the fastest, and in my opinion look better. They are starting to rust, as any 15 year old car is. The 5th generation (1997-2001) are not as fast, and don't look as cool, but they are a lot more modern. I'd personally get a 4th generation, but I' bias considering I drive one. 5th generation would rust less, however if nothing else due to age

  • my ass there faster, if thats the case the drives of them are not smooth shifting cause everyone i have raced has lost. just my personal experiance.

  • lemme ask u.....would chu prefer an sh or regular h22 prelude?

  • A base model. Why? Well the SH handles great, but the system is pretty unreliable, plus modifications are much harder to come by for things like a header...That, and the fact that after about 250-260hp the system shuts off anyways, if it even functions anymore. And yes, 4th generation vtec preludes are faster then 5th generations. Not by much, but they certainly are. The shorter gears/less weight does that.

  • aites....thnx foe da info....but aren't sh more expensive den the base ones?

  • They were when new, I'm sure they are still going for more money. They do handle slightly better when the SH system, which is like a really complicated LSD, is working, but when buying a prelude at this point the SH system is more of a liability then benefit

  • @infinity2904 If you are looking for something just for fun buy a cheap v8 mustang. You cant beat whipping it around corners and feeling the back end slide out. No FWD car no matter how fast will ever compare.

  • @infinity2904 turbo kit is the quickest and cheapest way 8 psi should give 275 bhp

  • HONDA

  • HONDA

  • i love honda

but that was so slow for 2.2vtec .. plz dont make me hate them ;P

  • wtf its the same thing only different numbers u dipshit

  • yep, identical engine and wieight difference isnt enough to change a damn thing

  • its not just the weight difference, which is about a hundred pounds, the 4th generation also has shorter gears. If equal drivers drove both cars, the 4th generation would win every time. a well driven 5th gen will smoke an average driver in a 4th generation, I agree.

  • so ur sayin dat 4th gen are faster den 5th gen???....

  • beautifull car

    keep the prelude alive!

  • dude get a vtec controller and ur ecu chipped in and u'll be pretty fucking quick!

  • have to disaggree with the weights umm i weighted my prelude on the scale with me in it it and my college books and was 3xxx MT and auto was 31xx before my swap i dont think my carbon fiber hood did that much

  • the gauge is in kilometers not in miles.

  • slow

  • wow so umm my speedometer doesnt go up to 200. sooo are the gauges aftermarket?? kuz they look veeerrry stock but have higher number and what not then the gauges on my 1997 usdm base model prelude..

  • go jump off a bridge

  • Becasue yours is probably in miles per hour. This one is in kilometers per hour

  • ive compared all the preludes with all other hondas and they are alot heavier so dont argue with someone unless you know what your talkin about

  • i have a problem with my honda prelude, the steering rack seems to pull to the left and then the right, seems to wobble, anyone got any idea's?????

  • check you rear wheel bearing assembly both wheels that was my problem

  • nic wielkiego koleo Szybciej rozpedzam się moim renault

  • a masz też fiata albo skodę?

  • nice car...

  • gotta love vtec! but 5th gens are slower than 4th gens.. they're too heavy.

  • Ludes are slow cause they are heavy for a Honda. I lke them but compared to GSR or EM1 you dont really feel VTEC the same way.

  • really? i was kinda split between the 'lude and a 00 Celi GTS. You think that its the SH that is the sluggish one?

  • The SH only has that tranny thing kinda like an LSD. I forgot what its called.I drove a lot of Peludes cause my best friend was buying one and couldent drive stick so i test drove all these Preludes for him. The Lude is sluggish only cause its heavy for what it is. So the Sh and SE are the same in the staight line. only in the corners if pushed hard do you feel the tranny slip limiter tackling the understeer that i felt in the SE but nonexistent in the SH.I would get the GTS if i were you.

  • go with the lude!!!

  • i dont understand why you have a negative 2 on this comment because what you said is true. the GSR is lighter than the prelude which makes it faster. the preludes are extremely heavy

  • Except ummm the prelude only weights 2880Ibs but goood onne duuude ... not

  • 5 gen prelude, with ame gears and pulleys and dc header and full exhaust ur looking at 210 HORSEPOWER and can beat the new 007 civic si on a dime !!

  • I'm wondering that fifth generation Prelude and RSX-S.. which one is better?

  • LOL, a 90 accord isn't even faster than a STOCK DA (1990-1993) integra rs. With that accords SOHC engine. There's not much "variable" (not vtec) in that motor in the first place. Lol. But im not anti-accord. Still a honda. =) My point is....ONLY IN A PERFECT WORLD....will a 90 accord beat a 5th gen lude. Actually, not even in a perfect world. Just hilarious!! =))

  • bull shit... there is NO WAY a stock 1990 accord is faster than that 5 gen lude. ive driven both and a lude is WAY!!! faster

keep it honda though. just dont float ur boat to far

  • slow shifting.. slow prelude XD

  • hey its a stock lude...give him some slack :)

  • I have Honda Prelude 2.2 too but I gain 100km-h in 12 seconds :( can someone help me? what can be wrong? Anyway I can still beat Mini Cooper S after 100 kmh :)

  • who da fuk r yu rodgazinya wtf do yu drive r mommys voltzwagaon a stock prelude does 0-60 in 5.5 and actualy thier one of the best cars ever made u peice of shit

  • actually stock prelude goes 0 - 60 in about 6.8 seconds...not 5.5. that would be nice though if it could!

  • YET ANOTHER SLOW POS PRELUDE..

  • ...um ok. what do you drive? just a word of advice...a person should always do a little research before they make such an ignorant comment so they don't make themselves out to be such a dumbass. find me a car that has a 2.2 in it and that is COMPLETELY STOCK that can beat an h22 prelude with the same value....GOOD LUCK

  • Perhaps you should take your own dumbass advice and look at my profile before you run your mouth.. I build a race Honda's as well as RX7's and subaru's..So talk you shit. And how about a 1.3L.. A RX8 will hand that h22 its ass

  • well how about you take an rx-7 and shove it up your ass because you can get a way faster car (ariel atom) for like half the price yea bitch i brought it.

  • Another dumbass^^ you cant get a Ariel atom for half the price and have fun driving that uncomfortable ass car around town not that you could even afford one or drive it on the road legaly. Its a one seater with an open cabin..Your comment is so stupid..And a Rx7 kills in looks and still performs.

  • I agree with Rod - rotaries haul (and I own a lude). Not a big fan on the rx8's but my GF's got a series 3 7, and even that old girl with a 13b bridge chomps at v8 tails. And before you say my girls car is faster than mine, my cars built 4 cruisin - and she loves it.

  • ya the impreza is a nice car but some peple just cant afford them and this is about second best so do be hatin

  • forgive me if im wrong, but arent most 1.3L Rx-7's twin turboed?

    preludes arent...

    and its a fwd car...

    rx-7 = rwd

    their made for different purposes

  • Between a prelude and rx-8 there is a big price difference

  • I own a 99 Lude. And Actually a H22 Lude would beat a RX-8, and runs WRX's, depended on how their moded. Been there, Done that.

  • i own a 97 lude, ive raced plenty of rx8's, never been beat by one, and dont get me wrong there not slow.

  • i have a question about a prelude... im gonna put this question on all the prelude vids to see who says what... anyway i know someone who is sellin a 2000 prelude with really low miles (58000) but its an automatic... is it worth it or not... although it does have sport shift but im pretty sure all the 5th gens do... so question is buy it or not buy it?

  • not worth it!..get an SH if u like handling if not get a 5speed base model.

  • automatics with tiptronic run sluggish compared to a 5 speed.

  • pretty slow

  • realy fast.. great

  • Actully the SH is slower then base because of increased weight. The 4th gen VTEC models are quicker in the 1/4.

  • I LOVE THE BEGINNING SICKKK

  • tak tuhle hondu znám...

  • well 2.2liter engine, 185ps, 204NM torque, 5 gears (too few), 140mph, 0-60mph in 7.5 sek.

hard suspension, nice to drive, shitty gearbox & clutch, nice engine, nice looks according to me.

  • whats the quickest prelude out there? (stock) , do u perhaps know that, since this one isn't really quick from 60 mph+

  • the SH was the fastest but for the price of the last model prelude you can put a k20 in a civic and have something alot faster and still have cash left over

  • what is the specifications of that car? iwant to buy one .
