  • what happened in the EVENT?

  • I love the Poirot sketch! It's so true! XD

  • I just got the whole "You are the 999,999 th visitor" bullshit when i looked and this has only been viewed (currently) 67,429 biews..... WTF!? XD

  • Jan Hankl is knee-slappingly funny ^^

And those 'ironic non-idiots' are even more annoying than normal idiots.

  • idiots and assholes trying to get a job....hmmmmm

sounds like mix between the apprentice and big brother

  • "you know i wouldn't really be a millionaire if I fired 1/15th of my workforce every week"

    hahahaha XD

  • I'm not sure what the blonde's name is, the girl who is often in Mitchell and Webb sketches, but she is effing hot

  • @danieldrhhall she's stevie from miranda isn't she?

  • @meisvampire that she is

  • oh my god the event is going to happen this year

  • "MY GOD POIROT! she's doing the evil voice!"

"yes i always know ive got them when they start doing the evil vouce!"

  • I find the post event emergency broadcast sketches to be slightly harrowing... Interesting, but scary

  • what was the event

  • @nekkro92 Youtube was abolished.

  • REMAIN INDOORS

  • Actually, I'm pretty sure 'Jan Hankle' was meant to be Dutch not American.

  • @ElazYalc Certainly not American :P

Might also be German or Scandinavian

  • The funniest thing in the world is posh English people trying to put on an American accent It's a FAIL!

  • @misscharliebrown123 Robert Webb is not posh..... and if you ask me he put on a good american accent alot of americans sound like that LOL

  • @tolfree09 I know lol, but it seems like he is when he is putting on the accent either way i love it!

  • @misscharliebrown123

yeah, but most americans cant exactly do english accents, they think all english people are victorian cockneys!

  • @implications24 Agree about the accents, however, as an expat, most Brits at home that try one is usually an American southern accent, or what they've heard on old John Wayne or western films. I do think Brit actors can pull off an American accent much more convincingly than the reverse.

  • @terryshilo Its because the American accent is generic. Its what you get when you have immigrants from France talking to immigrants from Greece. The intonations are easier to pronounce for people speaking English as a second language. So its much easier for Brits to speak like Americans than vice versa.

  • @jhop9898 Thanks for explaining this. It certainly makes a lot of sense. Since I've lived here for 2/3rds of my life. I wonder, with the multiculturalism that is Britain now, with the influx of Europeans, Asians, etc. Will the accents (varied obviously by location) morph as they have here. Or, because it's the "native" language be less affected.

  • @jhop9898 I also like the explanation Swedish comedian Magnus Béter gave:

"I'm Swedish. I speak English. But I sound more American than English. My advice to you is... make better movies."

  • My friend was singing in English

" Watch, as i take the key which opens the door to a little world of mine "

Which involved different hand movements to it, he said he saw it on this tv show, i want to see that scene but i dont know where to find......

Can anyone help me out ?

  • @JozefBywalec18 It's actually on The Mitchell and Webb Situation, a TV show originally broadcasted several years ago on a now gone channel called Play UK. It's on the sixth episode of the first and only series, and if you watch it on YouTube it's towards the end of part two and the beginning of part three, if you want to watch the entire sketch.

Although I implore you to watch the whole series - it's very very raw and funny. <3

  • The first sketch reminds me of when my mum used to watch Murder, She Wrote. It ALWAYS ended the same, Fletcher would rattle of some hypothesis and guesswork that would never stand in court without any substantial evidence, then the murderer would just crack, admit everything detailing their whole plan, then pull out a gun then threatening to kill her, then the police walk in. ALWAYS.

  • 6:06 thumbs up if you think Robert Webb looks like russel howard

  • Mitchell is looking slimmer.

  • @mikeyman211 probably from all the flank patting

  • "insert comment from the show" Classic.

  • No! The smallest large amount of money is £15,000.

  • @norsef I would say £50,000

  • I actually use Jan Hankls patented Flank Pat when i look for things.

You can do the same, it wont help you find a girlfriend though.....

  • Woah David's lost weight since series 2! He suits his hair so much at 2:54.

    REMAIN INDOORS!

  • has jan hankel got the same teeth as the helivets :)

    mwhuahahah!

  • That's the spirit unknown male 282

  • The Event reminds me of that idiotic post-apocalyptic YA novel, 'Children of the Dust' - I imagine Simon and the mutant cousin going head to head! The mutant would win of course.

  • HAHAHAHA Oh my god I couldn't stop laughing at the Flank Pat thing! lol

I will forever LOVE David Mitchell & Robert Webb!!!! :-)

  • i thought the post-apocalyptic game show was one of their best, and it's a bit dark just like peep show...

  • You can't compare Peep Show to that Mitchell and Webb Look. One is a sketch show, the other a dark sitcom. You can however compare on the fact that they are both absolutely hysterical, very witty, an just in general amazing. There, stop quibbling.

  • @bennypatel Hail Vectron!!!!

  • @bennypatel By Vectron, you're right!

  • oh my friggen god! Is this a new season!!!? just starting to watch it now, i can tell it'll be awesome.. definatly different but still great. The english are the originals as far as comedy goes.

  • ROFL earthquake survivers xD

  • ye lol i watch it sometimes tho just in the hope itll get to peep show level

  • nah it's just a different humour. i didn't like it at first... but the second time around i watched it i found it reaaaaaally funny.

  • i dont think it is personally but if u like it watch 'the freak show' its liek a parady of the peep show-its quite funny...in places...

  • cheers :)

wow 4 thumbs down some hardcore fans here lol

  • Thankyou

  • YES!!!! It's finally here! :D We love you babyblue!

  • Thanks so much for uploading this, i missed this episode! :D

  • THANK YOU, BABYBLUE!
