i think you got the wohle concept of slap bass totally wrong... dude it's about GROOVE as well es efficient movement... and most importantly: Timing ... and this is exactly where you suck at...just playing a few licks in the key of E with adding a few triplets is not what this is all about...

How are you getting that quadruplet dead note fill? Are you plucking with Index and middle finger and doing a hammer on?
