For comparison, James White is 10 inches taller, and I think we'd all agree he has a huge vertical in his own right. Unfortunately, he never got tested at the combine, but his standing reach is probably somewhere between 8'10" to 9'1". Even he would have trouble hitting his head on 10'8" -- if he could at all, as he failed to touch 13'0" when officially tested a few years back.

An unedited version of this jump was kindly provided here: /watch?v=zyIaVYhyRUk  Flight time is < than 30 frames (check for yourself), which is less than 1 second. There is a terrible projection error because the video was shot 20 feet away from the ground. Implying he gets shoulders on a 10 foot rim is like saying he's hitting his head on 10'8", or 58" vert, but flight time says < 48.2". That's a huge difference. His flight time is actually in keeping with his other jump attempts. FYI

Would have been more accurate to have filmed this in that window where the camera could have been placed exactly at 10 feet than to have intentionally filmed this from this ground. Still an incredible jump tho! You should try to get tested by Guinness to set the record because IIRC they don't have an official record for running 2-foot vertical jump.

Camera angle makes it hard to tell. When the camera is even with the rim, we'll see just a straight-line, not an oval looking up into it. He probably does have the hops to do it but you have to give us the right view.

the rim might not be exactly 10 feet, but i hated on young hollywood in another video... in which i was rightfully put in my place. it is near 10 feet and or is 10 feet... i would say it isnt below 9"11. and did the proportions... this is a 60 inch jump probably the highest ever off of 2 feet...
