You need to train the algo on the data, and once the errors are reduced below a pre-determined threshold, one can use the algo for a fixed set of tasks without any difficulty.

They just use the chip to sense the electrical impulses in the brain, and thru trial and error your brain figures out that certain impulses at certain spots does certain things(AKA sends an impulse to the chip to be read by the chip and interpreted by the computer programming to do things on the PC) Think of it as if you just realized you could do something you hadnt done for a while and remembered how to do it, it seems new cause it hasnt been done in a long time but your brain figures it out.

Not to alarm you, we have already surpassed all the technology depicted in the classic STAR TREK. Amazing. Back in the early 60s, they did'nt think we'd ever be able to tie dierectly into th ebrain. Now we can, with inexpensive technology of 21st century! We can communicate with people in any language, with autistic children, even plants and animals. And control jet-fighters, giant robot-suits(yes, military is perfecting these), and even spacecraft. O brave new millenium!
