Yeah he is doing it to preserve the gears. By clutching on each gearchange, even just a littlle bit helps preserve the gear box. Condidering Hollinger six speed boxes go for around $20,000 it seems like a good idea :D

but jst cause its a sequential gearbox dnt mean it has dog engaged gears :)
