  • Excellent video

  • This video is one of the few places that mentions that public schools plunder liberty. Very few people realize that fact, but think about this: Why is there such a large debate in public schools over creationism vs evolution if children were given the liberty to choose which side to believe? Our schools force students to believe one theory or another, rather than giving them the liberty to learn arguments on either side and then choose.

  • 'liberty' = LICENCE (to steal)! / Legal PLUNDER.

  • @ForeignPerson1 ummmm...no....did you not understand? please watch again and see who has a license to steal....

  • Propaganda.

  • great vid

  • Comment removed

  • Excellent redo of an old libertarian story. You communicate it well to the masses.

  • I thank you for making this EXCELLENT video! Let us be a charity that provides this essential education of truth to as many people possible.

  • Anarcho-capitalism ftw

  • More simple minded anarchist selfish nonsence

  • dumb.

  • the problem with our government is that it's ran by people.

  • @rednano74 Oh really, "liberal fascist thinking"? Those are two conflicting ideologies... What video were you watching? No where in this video did they make a case saying that federal government should be smaller and individual state governments should have more power. They simply said that government is stealing your money through taxes, which is the most bat shit insane thing I've ever heard. Also, I never once stated my views on the relationship between state and federal government.

  • Between this "legal plunder" and corporate domination of all aspects of society, I think having government sounds like the lesser of the two evils.

  • This is brilliant.

  • This is fucking retarded. You pay taxes for those things to better the quality of your life, you're seriously about to complain about public education, the Food and Drug Administration, and motor vehicle laws? Go live in Africa and see what it's like when there isn't a stable government to do those things. You sound like a spoiled brat.

  • @BroTaiJr please not the decline in education once we created the Department of Education. Same with Labor, energy, transportation. Soon heath care in the US will be destroyed as well because of the government involvement. Our society has always been stable and we had far fewer laws on the books for the first 200 years of our existence. You want a master out of fear. Liberty is spooky because you know that if people are not moral, then they are evil and then society breaks down.

  • @HHODork Yeah the 200 following years after America's birth were truly the glory days; with slaves, zero food regulations, lawlessness in the growing west. Sure our education and health care may be funky now, but if you take the government out of the equation it'll be far worse. There's never been a society where people have been left to their own means and it's worked out for the best.

  • @BroTaiJr I would be much better off without taxes especially those of the Federal Government. The FDA is seriously corrupt and owned by monsanto and drug companies. The Federal Gov has no reason to be in the education business. Motor Vehicle Laws are enforce by local taxes which make sense. Africa has a corrupt government, and is an example of what happens when it is not limited in function. If we don't stand up for our rights, the U.S. may become the next 3rd world.

  • @mcbowler Sure certain aspects are corrupt; like the fact that we have commercials for drugs everywhere, but like I said this video isn't pointing out that states should control certain taxes and that the federal government is too powerful. It's simply a ignorant video complaining about taxes in general.

  • @MrKingGeedorah it is ignorant not to complain about taxes. How many people that have money to donate give it to the government? none.. we are better off deciding where our money goes than the government deciding. The federal gov. in particular should have limited functions, not including restricting people within its borders. The constitution was written to limit the feds to certain objects not to limit the people.

  • @mcbowler The people are better off deciding where our money goes than the government? Without the government telling us to put aside a fraction of our income, how many people would honestly donate to community needs, pay police and firefighters, or even the military. A hell of a lot less than would be needed. Taxes suck, but they're necessary for our fantastic standard of living. After taxes I guarantee you, if you're even old enough to pay taxes, you have enough money to live comfortably.

  • @MrKingGeedorah Sure there limited functions I will allow government to provide. It should not cost more than 10% of my income to cover them. For those who are productive, taxes are reaching over 35%. Productivity is going over seas and so are our dollars chasing the goods produced there. We now import Chicken from CHINA! Don't misinterpret me by taking one sentence out of context. I am satisfied yet the government keeps asking (taking/borrowing/printing) for more = plunder.

  • @BroTaiJr touche... I thank God everyday I live in Canada... this vid makes Americans seem like a bunch of greedy a**holes (and I know that's not the case).

  • and when will we rise up to end this Tyranny?

  • @skepticalmannn I don't make videos. There's no group out there immune to sardonic invective, and I think I overlooked the tone of this video because it agrees with me, although if you pressed the author, he would probably acknowledge the majority of people involved have the best of intentions and are interested in justice. There is a way to present alternative views without becoming arrogant, and I am working on discovering it--it makes it easier for me to learn just how flawed my truth is.

  • retty nice video. I live in Brasil and we're taxed here something around 50% of internal production (yeah ,not kidding). We're slaves and ppl here stil like it :(

Also, the education offered by government is a shit, lots of ppl die in front of the hospital everyday, the cops are bandits with cop costumes

That's why even having a lot of natural resources and such potential to grow, we're stil on third world.

  • @skepticalmannn The comment on skepticism was a cheap shot. I apologize. I am not a 911 truther. Also, good point and I can't argue with that, at all. You're not skeptical of what I want you to be skeptical of, so I judged you as not skeptical at all. Wrong on my part.

I'm a minarchist, not an anarchist, so abolition of government isn't my goal, and I sometimes feel the rhetoric against the government gives vent to frustration but hampers communication.

  • @skepticalmannn I have not advocated the abolition of government. You don't strike me as skeptical; is your moniker meant ironically?

  • @skepticalmannn Are you going to use history to defend government as better in its exercise of power than individuals? History is full of abuses of power and I'm aware of many of them. That doesn't mean I will fall in line and grant a body of people power over my life and property.

  • @skepticalmannn Keynesian economics is also theory, however, I am talking about history. The video makes the comparison. It doesn't address whether they are nice people--it addresses their actions. Refute Bastiat.

  • @skepticalmannn That explains your emotional reaction, then. Nothing I've said precludes government--it merely limits its power over personal and voluntary agreements.

  • @skepticalmannn Government enforce value of specie money. I didn't argue for rule by warlords, I simply stated the historical truth that trade pre-existed government. And government set specie value is also not necessary, You should read Rothbard's "A History of Money and Banking in the United States" by Murray Rothbard. Are you a government worker? You seem unreasonably angry about quite peaceful suggestions.

  • @skepticalmannn That's not how it happened prior to fiat money, or government enforced value of specie, but okay.

  • @skepticalmannn Money pre-existed government, as did trade.

  • Stupid vikings wont stop voting.

  • This video needs to go mega-viral

  • Excellent production! Huge props to the animator!

  • good stuff, snappy animation, great message, well done! :)

  • The saddest part of legal plunder is that it is of course taken into consideration when doing business. All consumer prices have baked in the taxes that the employer pays, the employee pays, the owner pays, plus VAT and so on. Higher prices means fewer people can afford stuff, and guess who is the first who cannot afford stuff. The people who are for taxes even have the nerve to say it is for helping the poor. Taxes hit everyone, but hit the poorest the most.

  • @mortalisk For example, today I was buying a sandwich at a café here in Norway. I though it was very expensive, at the equivalent of 11$. I though, hey, I can make these a lot cheaper for people, and still make a profit. But then I started to think about employee tax, salary tax, company tax, profit tax and VAT. It is simply not possible to sell them cheaper. Effect: I am not making sandwiches for people, and I am getting free education and government grants at the expense of those who do.

  • Libertarian bullshit... Ayn Rand was a cunt.

  • Why libertarianism fails, I have 3 vids that kill this BS dead

  • So this video basically agrues for anarchy as taxation is "legal plunder". Bt the logic of the video is flawed. The government does not take money away from you agaist your will. You have a choice in that we are a republic and vote for the people who levie the taxes. You may not like what are done with these taxes, but you do get a choice. But whatreally seems to have happened is that the maker of this video doesn't like that his anarchist candidate didn't get elected.

  • @davidtagliaferri What? So as long as the vikings are the majority, it's ok? You don't suddenly gain the right to to stuff because you are in the majority. You gain the possibility, sure, but that does not mean you ought to do it. You would have argued that slavery was moral back when it was legal, just because the majority was for it? Nazis killing jews is probably ok too, so long as the majority who gets to vote in a certain area is for it.

  • @mortalisk

I do not claim it is paying taxes is moral because the majority say it is. I claim paying taxes is moral because the alternative, no government, is much worse. So it comes to how much taxes we are to pay. How do we decide this? Should it be decided for us, or should we get a say? I say we should get a say and it shouldn’t be decided for us. With this method, the people have spoken and said that we should as a collective, pay for social programs.

  • @davidtagliaferri How do you know that no government is worse? You are just assuming that if the government stops doing something it claims a monopoly on today, then no one will demand and pay for those services either. Representative democracy works by the politicians buying votes with other peoples money. It is not sustainable, and when it crashes, the poor will suffer the hardest, like they always do.

  • @mortalisk Also, I do believe there should be a control like the supreme court, who when the majority, because of bigotries decides to make an immoral law, should be able to overrule the majority, and say , hey, these bigotries are not in our constitution, you can’t do that.

  • @davidtagliaferri If that has a chance of restricting the government, then it's a good thing. But it is irrelevant to the question of whether it is a good idea to threaten violence against people who never harmed anyone to get what you want. You can just as easily pay for what you want directly.

  • @mortalisk

ps , I don’t know why I am responding to someone who equates paying taxes to national solcialism. I suppose you pay taxes, don’t you?

  • @davidtagliaferri I never said paying taxes is immoral. I said that collecting taxes, or asking someone to do it, is immoral.

  • @rednano74 Don't worry you're going to find out the hard way. My dad's dialysis costs 60 grand a month. No fucking shit. Sixty grand , that's because of the sick for profit system we have screwing everybody senseless. These bankers know that they will suck up properties like punch if they take away the elder's SS and medicare and that's exactly what they want to do. DEms suck, they are the ones that want to take the Ss and carve up medicare too. Dems and repubs work for the same ppl.

  • @rednano74 You grow up . You are a stupid idiot that thinks they will be well and strong forever and if they are not a good looking neighbor will fall in love with you and take you in. SS was created to keep old people from dying in the streets once they have passed the age they cannot compete in the work place due to advance age, disease, and or injury. People like you are childish babies that believe that none of this will happen to them or their loved ones. Stupid stupid child. U'll save ha

  • I like this video, but why do they show a group like the NRA in the line with all the guys trying to get public moneys= lobbyists? How does the NRA get money from the government or TAKE freedoms? (they might be guilty of not doing a good job protecting it, but stealing it?)

How does the NRA steal from the people by defending a constitutional right?

    This is misleading.

They don’t take from the tax base with programs, they fight to stop people that WOULD take constitutional rights.

  • That said, I believe the NRA has sold out, and sells out with “compromise” our rights for decades.

I now go with GOA and JPFO, dumped the NRA

  • Anarchist group.

  • Great video, especially for kids, who are being indoctrinated in gov.-run schools to grow government. It's interesting how legal plunder creates a survival of the fittest aspect, as different groups compete to lobby for legislation. The biggest cat wins. While so much legislation aims to make things "fairer" by bending nature to man's will, it actually does worse things than if natural competition was allowed to flourish. It becomes man conquering nature, i.e. man enslaving other men.

  • When there is nobody left with anything to plunder the Mafia plunders the Vikings and then the Mafia plunders it's self.

  • THIS IS THE TRUTH!!! HAHAHAH!! but it doesn't matter, because the country is full of fat asshat vikings.

    Welcome to slavery.

  • social security isn't legal plunder. People pay into SS their whole fucking life. Those funds accrue interest. They are self sufficient you dumb lying fuck. Get an education. People can't carry on forever. They need a plan. That plan is SS,

  • @Textynn Social Security isn't legal plunder? Good because for a minute there I thought I would be forced into that plan. Now that you have shown me I was wrong, I will not pay in anymore. I'll let you know how that works out for me.

  • @REDprepper Oh you'll pay all right. You will pay for warS, u will pay for subsidy to big oil, you will pay for Cheney's twenty-four hour ambulance fully staffed with heart and health professionals, you will pay to set up Israel with nuclear weapons, and you will pay for just about anything that comes down the pike that the uber rich dream up for you to pay. And maybe, someday, when u r old and in horrible health and too sick to hit it everyday you have enough keep your home and your pain meds.

  • His name is pronounced "BOST-YA" not "BOST-YET." It's French. The T is silent!

  • I'm sorry, I'm very confused.

You can't have a government that secures personal property without giving it powers that enable legal plunder. i.e. The gov't. cannot reclaim your flat screen from the mob unless it can seize that TV in spite of it being in the physical possession of the mob.

What, if anything, are you trying to say?

Absent an arbitrating body without power to enforce its decisions, am I meant to be a law unto myself?

  • Worth thinking about!

  • Great video!

  • Government steals from you in the same way a restaraunt steals from you. Hey I didn't make you put this food I asked for in front of me, why should I have to pay for it just because i ate it all

  • The difference between current nation states and laissez faire. When they steal from you, you have legal recourse. When libertarians run things, they'll steal from you, and then they'll shoot you in the face.

  • This is all well and good but we can't have a society without this 'legal plunder'. Another way of looking at it is as a membership fee to live in society.

  • I'm trying to remember the last time the NRA ("contemporary Vikings") ever lobbied the US government to obtain tax money for any entitlement or otherwise. I can't think of one. The NRA's lobbying is pretty much exclusively to get creeping government's nose OUT of their business and their members' rights -- you know, like good libertarians do.

And for heaven's sake, it's not "acts of aggression that are criminal when committed by you or *I*." The underlying grammar is "by me," not "by I."

  • Even if you are a limited gov type, taxes are still necessary. Therefore, society itself is impossible without some plundering?

  • "the separateness of persons." For Nozick, the principle of the separateness of persons is close to sacred. It affirms, as he writes, "the underlying Kantian principle that individuals are ends and not merely means; they may not be sacrificed or used for the achieving of other ends without their consent. Individuals are inviolable." -Robert Nozick (founder of the Libertarian movement)

"Taking the earnings of n hours of labor is like taking n hours from the person."

    abortion takes ALL the hours

  • If you are so against taxes, then don't use the sidewalks or roads.

  • @hammerhorn

If you are so for taxes, why don't you send additional money in with your tax return?

  • @hammerhorn And something tells me you didn't comprehend this video AT ALL.

  • @hammerhorn your one of those sidewalks and roads people, yeah I'm sure thats all their taxing us for!

  • @hammerhorn If you like the government's ugly, abysmal, and environmentally offensive roads and sidewalks so much, NOBODY will stop you from offering to help pay for them voluntarily. Unfortunately, the rest of us are being compelled *BY THREAT OF IMPRISONMENT* to do so.

  • @hammerhorn I don't have a choice, unless I want to trespass on someone's private property. That's what happens with monopolies (governments) -- people are at their mercy, which is part of the whole point of videos like these.

    Please find another argument.

  • @jaybreak i live in usa there are plenty of areas with shitty roads and no sidewalks. Pedestrians just have to walk in the street or buy a car. If you had a helicopter this wouldn't even be a problem. After society should cater to those with helicopters. Or we could make them all into toll roads and toll sidewalks and ordinary people wouldnt be able to use them even if they wanted to.

  • Good vid!

  • The sad thing about this video is that even though it plainly explains how we are constantly being robbed by government, too many are not willing to do anything about it because everyone is or will be getting something from someone else. (Social Security, Medicare) Only the young who have yet to pay into either of these programs are willing to fight against it. Most others are too invested to take a stance for freedom.

  • @Captain077 Well I would argue that those fighting for SS and other "safety net" programs are the older voting class. They've paid into the system and were promised something that was unreal in retrospect. I think anyone who's under the age of 40 understands that they're never going to see that money while those over 60 are already planning their retirement on it.

  • @pSychOAtDawn SS and Medicare are 2 examples of why the federal government needs to stay confined to the limits of the constitution. In ways I feel our seniors deserve what they have paid into, but a harsher side of me wants to say to hell with them, for they allowed these unconstitutional programs to be created and remain unchallenged for a couple of generations, the heavy cost landing on the heads of their children and their children's children. We are paying for their folly.

  • @Captain077 Haha, yes. Frustration and anger is a usual response to someone's stupidity but I think the most rational thing for our generation to do is to never offer something like this and opt out of it. Ease the program out within 20 years so our generations don't depend on it.

  • @pSychOAtDawn Currently SS and medicare is funded by those still working, so if we were to faze them out, how would they be funded? Would you expect the younger generation to pay for the older generations retirement expecting nothing in return, neglecting their own retirement plans in order to support the older generation folly? Currently, medicare and SS are by far our greatest cost, and even if we faze it out, it will still be the younger generation that pays for the folly of the older.

  • @Captain077 by phasing out, it literally means phasing out through the "opt-out" options from both of these two "safety net" programs. Ron Paul is consequently the one who's spearheaded this idea and it works. Or we can privatize it to remove the public burden and trade the SS check with a company. If they want to keep recieving care for retirement, then they'll have to keep paying the corporation and not the governments shitty I.O.U.

  • Solid video...explained pretty well. Hopefully more and more people start seeing how this works.

  • Seven statists saw this and became mad that they had been plundered.

  • Absolutely the best modern representation of a key principle in Fredric Bastiat's "The Law"

    Thanks for doing this!!!

  • I dont appreciate that Bill from school house rock is considered a "contemporary viking", but other than that, this is awesome. Spread the truth!!!!!!!!

  • @jburns777 Ha! Actually, I think we were trying to make it look like Bill was caught in the middle of a bunch of lobbyists, not taking part of the Plunder. Of course, it is through terrible bills that we get the Plunder. Anyway, I prefer to maintain my fond memories of Bill as well, and will assume that his intentions there are entirely Constitutional :)

  • Great video!!!

  • Anarchy in the UK

  • great video.

  • Totally rocks. A brilliant encapsulation of a serious argument in a very fun presentation. Liberty needs more friends like you.

  • In the first 20 seconds of this video it is stated that the "since it is the Government's job to protect property rights. You'd probably call the police." But, our judicial system has stated clearly that we have no right to police protection. The police are not there to protect our property or life. Google: "no right to police protection" and look at the actual court cases involved in some of the discussions.

Sure, this is nit picking one statement but, I feel that people need to be aware.

  • @revisualize Here's a thought for ya: The police don't prevent crimes, they clean up the aftermath of crimes. To wit, a woman, in a dark alley, confronted by a rapist will be raped. The police will not stop the crime, they will find the offender at some future point, maybe. Alternatively, that same woman, if armed, will not be raped, making the police obsolete. My argument, a disarmed populace needs police, while an armed one does not.

  • @ariuszarim That thought is outlined in all the cased defined if you search "no right to police protection" One case that comes to mind, Warren v. District of Columbia where "For fourteen hours three captive women were raped, robbed, beaten, forced to commit sexual acts upon one another, and made to submit to the sexual demands of 2 men." 911 was called several times and the police knocked on the door. How about Rivera v. City of Providence, Castle Rock v. Gonzales or Hartzler v. San Jose.

  • @revisualize And the funny thing is, I'm sure someone would use Warren as an argument to weaken the 4th amendment. Maybe for stronger exigent circumstances.

  • Awesome video. It should make people think...although those that need to think about it probably wouldn't understand it

  • 5 viewers are or advocate legal plunder.

  • There are many poor Americans who would love the opportunity to promote their lifestyle. But because the federal government does so much harm to our economy less fortunate Americans have a harder time trying to better themselves. The government breaks your foot, takes the money out of your wallet to pay for the damage, and brags how - without them - you would have remained injured.

  • Well done! Agree with those who say The Law should be required reading...

  • 4 people don't like the explanation of plunder in this video? Wow...I would love for one of them to describe liberty to me.

  • Bastiat RULEZ! "The Law" should be required reading.....

  • Do you guys have a Twitter account I can follow?

  • I went to legalplundermovie (dot) com and got nothing :(

  • GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!

  • The narrator mispronounces Bastiat ( Boss-stee-ah , see freeaudio[dot]org )

Although this REALLY aggravates me, the slight can be forgiven as this video is just that good → Brilliant! Very good work!

    THANKS!

  • @ascii7085 I know, and I thank you for the forgiveness...we mispronounced it on our first video, so we stuck with it for consistency :)

  • @TheF4FS Can;t you reupload them?

  • @ascii7085 actually in french, it's bah-stee-ah

  • You're confusing the government with the corporate personhood of america. The mob was never the law. The mob controlled the law with money. Corporations do the same.

  • Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. -George Washington

  • Great video!!

  • Great, great video

  • Great video but please help me out with one question. If the role of the government is to protect property, which is achieved through law enforcement, then where does the government get the money for law enforcement without committing legal plunder?

  • @BillW77 Excise taxes are not considered plunder because they're purchased by choice. See early America for examples of excise tax control and rebellion like the whiskey tax.

  • @BillW77 Great question. I would say nowhere. Gov. is flat out unmoral, so no government is solution. Maybe maker of this video has different idea..

  • @BillW77 I think that's where the "general welfare" clause is supposed to come it - i.e. you can be taxed to pay for a service (police) that benefits *everyone* equally (in theory). What we see happening today is not *general* welfare though, it's *specific* welfare where the goods and services given to a certain group are paid for by money forcibly taken from another. Even "general welfare" is a sticky wicket - and as our current government has shown quite well, it can be extensively abused.

  • Bravo!

  • That was the BEST short I've EVER seen!

Should be required viewing BY ALL!!!!

  • This clip should win an Award.

  • Wow, VERY well made! Good work lads!

  • Wow! This is really quite good!

  • Social Security, the holy grail for people like Ponzi and Madoff.

  • Yeah, u shoulda left SS out of it unless you would have told what big bucks the rich get from it when they retire and how sinators in Congress go steal from it big bucks to go party hardy! Otherwise, it was pretty good.

  • @Licmycat only so much we can put into a 3 minute and 37 second clip, but thanks for the comment!

  • @TheF4FS Oh sure. Good job though! Looking forward to ur next one! :)

  • @Textynn All of the social security money which was paid into the system is now spent and gone.

The federal government is printing what is necessary to fulfill all of their social security obligations.

  • @Textynn Social Security funds have been spent. People who are paying in now are supporting those who paid in before, but government spent it all. Those paying in now will not get their money, hence it is plunder.

  • @Textynn TheF4FS is right. Social Security is not some savings account that the government has. What people put in years ago was spent on seniors the minute the money came in, not saved. The money that I put in at my job now goes straight to people needing it now. Social Security reform has attempted to change that system and create private accounts for people to control their money, but Congress hasn't had the guts to look at it seriously.

  • @internate Boomers, the biggest generation ever, have just started collecting. Just a few. You're repeating a lie. The largest group has paid in for decades and now they are just starting to draw it. This group also paid for their parent's SS. SS is solvent until 2037 with no changes. Your info is misinformation ignoring the fact that there will have to be adjustments for inflation which was always considered as important upkeep.

  • @Textynn I'm not sure where you get your information, or your understanding of how Social Security is funded, but you may want to double check your sources. The Social Security account was emptied years ago. The money you or I pay in now goes right into the Social Security checks the next day. I will be your Social Security check. For now.

  • @Textynn Social Security is a Ponzi Scheme. It is only legal because the government is doing it. If you, me, or Bernie Madoff do it, it is a "crime." This fits Bastiat's definition of Legal Plunder perfectly.

  • @klaptongroovemaster Wrong! SS is solvent until something like 2034. The Boomers paid for their own and their parents' generation SS. Adjusted for inflation, SS will be solvent indefinitely. You are spreading the elite lies. The elite that want to get their hands on this money. In fact, they have already plundered it and are breaking their necks trying to get out of paying back these funds and the interest that should be there.

You are misinformed or a liar.

  • @Textynn Do you know what a Ponzi Scheme is? If you do not, you need to look it up. Social Security IS a Ponzi Scheme. The ONLY reason it is legal is because the government is doing it. If anyone else set up the same operation, it would be illegal.

I am NOT "spreading elite lies." You are assuming that because I state the truth about a fraudulent government program, that I am in favor of handing these STOLEN monies to the criminal friends of the politicians.

    WRONG.

  • @klaptongroovemaster Do you know how insurance works? U can keep repeating yourself as much as you want and you will still wrong. Even if SS was costing taxpayers, you are talking about the same taxpayers who pay for every single thing in this country. It is taxpayers that pay for wars, infrastructure, government, all of it. Where the hell do you think the wealth of this country comes from?: This country was built on the backs of workers and your contempt for them is beyond SICKING.

  • @Textynn The money should never have been STOLEN from them in the first place. It should be returned to them IMMEDIATELY, and the program should be abolished. In fact, ALL forms of coercive taxation should be abolished.

Does that sound like handing the money over to elites?

But thanks for playing Jump To Conclusions! The zany game of mind-reading where you think you know what some person you never met actually believes!

    Douchenozzle.

  • @klaptongroovemaster That is a complete and total lie. SS is not a ponzi scheme, it is a plain old insurance system paid for by the people that collect. You guys are just listening to the fat cats that are completely lying about the whole thing. And you are obviously rich kids if you don't know how important is for people to have money that can't be taken away from them if you are sued or something unfortunate happens.

  • @Textynn You know nothing about me, you fucking idiot. I am against ALL forms of coercive taxation, including payroll taxes. Read the last sentence again until it sinks in. Read it one more time. Now stop accusing me of "listening to fat cats" or someone who supports anything "built on the backs of workers."

It's not "insurance" if it is taken from you against your will. It is THEFT. It is EXTORTION.

Stop paying it, and see what happens. YOU are the one supporting tyranny. Idiot.

  • @klaptongroovemaster You sound like you are six years old. Is it theft? Do you scream when you pay car insurance? Do you cry when you pay home insurance? Are you a freaking rock star from Mars? Cause you better be. After six decades on this planet, I assure you, if you are a working person, the world will have pretty much kicked your ass. U talk like someone that has no idea what life really is. Old working people and hurt people thank God that money is there. Protected money no one can take

  • @klaptongroovemaster You say oh I will save, blah blah blah. Then some trophy wife will take it, or you will get cleaned out by medical bills = that's a given for working people. health care drains all the financial security off of people. You're never going to be unemployed and have to live off savings? You're never going to get in a wreck. You'r kid's never going to need a lawyer? You are either rich or stupid or a just another right wing sociopath who takes no prisoners.

  • @Textynn Keep trying to imagine you know something about me. You don't. I am neither young, nor rich. I am adaquately insured. I do not need to be forced to buy insurance by criminals posing as my "representatives." Especially "insurance" that is paid to THEM only to be ransacked and divvied out to their cronies.

You are a slave. You think like a slave. Without your masters to take care of you, you would be helpless.

I am a free man, because I choose freedom over security.

  • @Textynn Wrong, they paid for a small part of it, current employees pay for the difference, but current employees won't see anywhere near the current level of benefits. The system is generational legal plunder.

  • @tfboyle Wrong. Republicans are the lamest liars ever. Wake up. Boomers are a gigantic huge generation and Wall Street is drooling over this money and trying to nab it before the boomers collect. SS is solvant to 2037 without adjustments to inflation which was always known to be a needed upkeep. You're being lied to by fat cats that want that money and don't like Ss because it keeps bankers from taking grandma's house BEFORE she passes it on.They want YOU without resources in old age. WAKE UP

  • @Textynn Wrong. They all paid in to the system, but they will take nearly 3 times as much out over the course of their lifetime. The younger generation will be forced to pay the rest.

  • @ronpaulkid The only thing making that resemble the truth is the out of control costs of health care which is trillions more than other countries. You are being lied to by fat cats. They don't want grandma to keep her house or pass it on. they want people to be cleaned out so they can take their house and no one starts off with anything from deceased parents. The fat cats are going after every form of security people have so they are in control of everything and every roof like te price of gas

  • @Textynn If the point is to simply give people back money they put in, then why didn't we just let them keep it and put it in an interest-bearing savings account - obviously, they'd be better off. Fact is, most people receive more in SS payments than they pay in, and this is funded by plunder and debt - trillions of dollars of debt. Ida May Fuller retired in 1939 having paid $25 in SS tax, and collected $23,000 by the time she died in 1975. Does this Ponzi scheme still make sense to you?

  • @gergenheimer Oh bull. Hundreds of thousands of ppl die before they collect anything. Wake up, everything you eat or drink is polluted. What are you, some flunky at the Heritage Foundation? For God's sake, grow a heart & quit spreading the lies designed to reduce people to homeless slaves without real health care

Even if your phony info was true, so fucking what. We drop more money on ten days of war than ten years of SS. America doesn't run on money power, sonny, it runs off workers' backs..

  • @Textynn I have a heart, and I want to help people, but basing our society on mindless compassion is part of what got is in this mess to begin with - do you honestly believe that a society can simply declare an end to human suffering and it will disappear because they said so? If defies the basic laws of causality and arithmetic to suggest that a society can sustainably support an ever-growing base of dependent, non-productive citizens - all the compassion in the world can't change that fact.

  • The mess we're in has nothing to do with compassion or welfare. Our military budget has tripled since 1997, but who's our enemy? Our military budget is bigger than the next 20 countries. We spend 7 times what China spends. What's the point of a military build up if not to fight war? The simple fact is that our elected leaders have their own plans with our taxes and are thoroughly anti-democratic (both parties). And they ultimately answer to the financial powers that back them.

  • @PuntedKitten While I agree that our military empire is objectionable and is a waste of precious resources (both human and economic), it is not, in fact, a major contributor to our financial woes. If we cut the military budget to zero tomorrow, it wouldn't even make a dent in our long-term funding shortfalls, which are approaching $100 trillion dollars, and 90+% of which come from the unfunded liabilities of our "compassionate" welfare programs - SS, Medicare, Medicaid. Do your homework.

  • @gergenheimer You're an idiot if you believe that. Complete and total lying idiot listening to some really dumb sociopaths that would justify anything for their miserable greed and reading nothing. It's comical how little you really know. I'd rather be poor and die without health care than be a stupid sociopath feasting on working people for toys and mansions. I'd leave this country in a minute to get away from cannibals like u

  • @gergenheimer Oh please, there you go again with the right wing Ayn Rand complete utter garbage. Not only do you not have a heart but you are refusing to accept the obvious because of the garbage you read. SS sustains people in old age. You and no one can just press on forever. EVERY INDUSTRIAL NATION IN THE WORLD HAS SINGLE PAYER AND IT COST ABOUT A TRILLION DOLLARS LESS A YEAR TO RUN IT. It's a freaking fact. You buying into the lie that working people are a drain on society.

  • @Textynn FDR himself said SS was not meant to be a retirement plan, and In case you haven't noticed, the nations with single-payer systems have inferior healthcare, longer wait times, and - they are on the verge of total financial collapse. On your YouTube page you profess love and compassion for your fellow man, yet you defend the institution that is the very embodiment of systematized, sanitized violence - government. Your worldview is based on shoddy economic thinking and incorrect history.

  • @gergenheimer Your non facts are nothing but righwing lies taught to their victims to vote against their own best interest. The nations with single payer do not have inferior health care. They have superior health care . You are being lied to and chumped by your stupid sociopathic heroes. You are repeating stupidity. You are not checking for yourself. You are believing those that profit in the billions by a sociopathic system. France has single payer and is considered NUMBER ONE. USA is 37th
