Capt. America isn't dead...he's only MOSTLY dead. He'll come back just like Superman came back. Capt. America's an icon and icons don't stay dead in the comics.

What they'll do is make Winter Soldier, who is really Cap's old sidekick Bucky, come around and be the new Capt. America for a while. Then Steve Rogers will somehow return and become Capt. America again, after a long, convoluted storyline where we're not really sure if the guy is actually Steve Rogers reborn or a clone or some such.

Please, this is just another commercial trick from Marvel. C.A. will return, of course after selling millions of comics of his death, the Fallen Son ark, other cheap idea comic, figures, etc. And don´t forget the free publicity,this is going to expand the market of Marvel.

This is unlike when DC killed Superman, only to bring him back five months later. Marvel's current trend in modernizing their stable of characters would tend to hold that Captain America is indeed dead and will remain so for a number of years. If Marvel were to go the route of DC's Death of Superman, it would serve only to cheapen the loss of such an iconic character.
