Seeing other mares with there babies,at the farm, year after year. Must have been
hard for Genuine Risk. She wanted to do "mothering" too.I'am sure! She was special. Pregnant,at an older age,it was good to see, that mother and baby, were
happy and healthy. This was a proud moment, especially, for Genuine Risk.It completed her, I think, more then all the wins combined. Only Mothers, would know
Genuine Reward never made it to the races....but that might be his biggest luck of all. He would never face the same gamble with death that racehorses do, and he will never suffer the same tragic fate on the track as Barbaro, Ruffian and others did.
God bless him with many more peaceful and happy days with lots of love from his caregivers.
Magnificent horse! I love seeing all the video I can of Gen. I never get tired of watching her win the derby in 80. It's too bad her two kids couldn't match their mother's greatness. Thanks for uploading this. :)
Thank you all for the nice comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It touched me when Genny was tossing her head with pride. What a wonderful sight.
Thank you for this. Obviously it would not have mattered to Genny whether or not Genuine Reward raced or not..........he was her baby and she was proud. From all I've heard she was a very loving mare right up until her death.

that feeling. I've known 4 times.
