It's not like Glenn Gould's interpretations of Mozart's sonatas are brilliant, but I think he got this right - it's presto guys, meant to be slightly faster than "Allegro ocn brio" of the 5th Bethoven symphony... This is one of the times where obeying the tempo Mozart marked is better , especially when he uses "Presto" a rare mark.
