  • Alfred Gough and Miles Millar also wrote Spider-Man 2 along with David Koepp, Michael Chabon, Alvin Sargent and Ivan Raimi.

  • 8:14 ..''Not a handicap.... but a handi-able'' Aha what the fuck! That's the most politically correct ass kissing bullshit I've ever heard, Christopher Reeve was the most handicapped person alive! attached to portable life support, quadriplegic, in adult diapers and dependent as they come.

  • My nursing instructor actually met Chris. He definately was SUPERMAN!!!:)

  • The eye in 1:14

  • Superman won't die...he can't die, it's phisically impossible

  • The day I suddenly heard that Christopher reeves was hurt on his back. I was like shocked and I cried. I used to be a kid and I pretended that I could try to bring him back to the North Pole so that he may step into that crystal box so that he may become Superman again... I really believed he was real. But now that I'm 20 years old ... I just realise that this was not true ... Gosh, I really miss Chris ...

  • Christopher Reeve is Superman! He always will be. No one will ever earn that title. It belongs to him all the way.

  • Mr. Reeve will always be Superman to me. No one else will ever be able tap into Superman's heart like Chris.

  • No one will ever replace him!

  • Christopher Reeve is Superman

  • wheelchair or not, he will always be SUPERMAN forever!

    R.I.P Christopher Reeve

  • @maldini0324 HI I'M FROM RUSSIA AND I ABSOLUTLY AGREE WITH YOU !!!!! HE IS A GREAT MAN SUPERMAN NOT ONLY ON THE SCREEN BUT IN A REAL LIFE TOO! HE IS A HERO OF TWO CENTURES AT ONCE!!! AND HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN !!!!! AND HE LIVES IN OUR HEARTS HE ALWAYS WITH US AND NOBODY COMPAIRS TO HIM!!!!

  • @Mashulyalya great words Mashulyaya, very true and inspirational!

  • I didn't know that Mr. Reeve was on a wheelchair. I didn't know Mr. Reeve was Dr. Swann in Smallville. I realized that watching the news of his death on youtube...shock.

  • disculpa puedes tradurlo al español gracias

  • @yetifarmer09 awww... you mad because you ran out of clever comebacks? lol

  • @yetifarmer09 yeah, that's it... you're right, I'm not clever enough, it's not the fact that I don't want to waste any more time on you because I have a life, it's the fact that you're wayyy more intelligent than me... good job! hopefully someday you can make a living off of your clever comebacks and then you can buy your slut mom that huge black dildo she's always wanted for christmas.. bye bye now.

  • @yetifarmer09 no, why don't you shut the fuck up... while you're at it kill yourself.

  • @yetifarmer09 yeah, but your supporting whatever he's saying... and I'm stating my opinion about it and you're trying to censor me because my comment wasn't PC enough for you, I don't give a fuck if you're offended at what I said.... seems like you're the fucking Fascist... look up the term next time then use it accordingly you fucking moron... you'd probably call your fucking dad a Fascist for cutting off your allowance.... now fuck off, I have a life to get back to.

  • @yetifarmer09 and I am an actor in short foreign films and student films that have been shown at Sundance so I know what the fuck I'm talking about unlike you loser fanboy fuckheads that have a hard on for Tom "can't act for shit" Welling and that don't know shit about film production or acting.

  • @yetifarmer09 It's called the Freedom of Speech, motherfucker... that's my right.

  • Tom Welling is an idiot for not taking the liberty to learn the Superman mythology and his lack of passion about giving a shit about any of it is really irritating... he's just another shallow mind with a pretty face with no apparent interest with enriching the Clark Kent character... Christopher Reeves knows Supermans life and struggles and it lived through him till his passing.

  • @mamakunem You're an idiot for writing that post. Didn't you even listen to what he said? He wanted to learn the history as the character learned it. Him doing that would make it more realistic. Like they're both finding out the origins for the first time. It allowed him to do what he did so well. If Mr. Reeve felt that Tom was portraying a good young Man of Steel, then why not you too? Ignorance is probably the answer to that question.

  • @ourtruth2079 man, I didn't know you fantasized about sucking Tom Welling's super cock.... have fun with that... he's an idiot and so are you.... I'm not ignorant, I'm just stating a crucial fact.... an actor should not be oblivious to vital information about a subject no matter what his goal is and you should go walk into on coming traffic... now fuck off.

  • @mamakunem lmao. What a bunch of ignorance. And a closet homo on top of that. Reeves approved yet your IGNORANT ass don't. go back under your rock.

  • @ourtruth2079 didn't I already tell you to suck a dick and fuck off?

  • @mamakunem That all you gonna do? Whats with the gay talk. Seriously dude come out of the closet already. I think your dad is calling you over to do just that.

  • @ourtruth2079 yeah, that's all I'm gonna do. lol. if I weren't on youtube and you were right in front of me I'd knock your ass out in 2 seconds.... now go suck a dick, and tell your slut mom she better get her ass over here because I'm long overdue for a blowjob.

  • @mamakunem hahahaha. Now your a tough faggot. Save those empty threats for your daddy the next time he's taking you from behing lil boy. You getting mad is cute at best ass master. But why don't you come up with something original, instead of copying other fags like yourself. I can see why your dad switched cause your mom is always on the corner. She ain't that great either. Worst 5 bucks I ever spent for a piece of ass.

  • @ourtruth2079 didn't I tell you to go tell your slut mom that my dick needs to be sucked? go run a long and tell her like a good little bitch boy.... next time don't type a fucking term paper because I didn't read it. fuck off.

  • @mamakunem Your still trying to convince yourself that you're not a closet homo. good luck with that. now fuck off

  • @ourtruth2079 lol.. didn't I tell you to fuck off first? yes i did.. don't steal my line you little cunt... now fuck off.

  • @mamakunem You're a persistent little fuck ain't ya lol. Pot calling the kettle black.

  • @ourtruth2079 awww... you mad because I'm persistent or that I'm way smarter than you? keep making fun of me, I love the attention, sweetheart, I'm at work making big money while I'm on youtube.. the fact that your responding means I've gotten to you.. now have some dignity and fuck off... it's pitiful.

  • @mamakunem Well 1 out of 2 ain't bad. Being persistent is a good thing sometimes. But you're far from being smarter than me. That's all I cared to read of that post......Now.......Fuck off!!!!!

  • @ourtruth2079 ok I'm dumb like you say I am, feel much better now? ego restored? now please return to your arts and crafts session with all the other fucking retards and please sincerely for the love of God, fuck the hell off so I can get back to my awesome fucking life which you obviously lack and have to enviously take up my precious time, please spare me your hot shit act, I'm not buying it... your cunt parents don't buy it and your therapist doesn't buy it.... now go away and die.

  • @mamakunem Again with another long ass post? Let me guess it said something gay related followed by something you thought that would be a somewhat intelligent statement I bet. I seriously have stopped reading what you write man. Just give it up already. Go have a life that's not in front of your pc.

  • @ourtruth2079 see, your problem is that your life is so pathetic and meaningless that you wont fucking give up with your "I know you are but what am I" kindergarten bullshit until you have the last word, so out of common courtesy for both of us, I'll let you have it and I'll stop at this point so you won't feel like a huge loser once in your life... take care.

  • @mamakunem Why write whatever you wrote and so much of it? Do you think I'm reading your responses? I find it sad that you're still replying to the comments. Got something to prove to yourself? Gonna go with yes. Now fuck off!!!! :D

  • @mamakunem Trolling losers like you on youtube is funny as shit. You get your panties in a wad. Then you ask if the other guy is mad. lol what a twit. But sense you seem to be fantasizing about making a lot of money. I'll make up a story too. Your mom isn't a ho. Man that was a good fictional piece of are right there.

  • @ourtruth2079 wow, you're pathetic, i'm actually wincing at how embarrassed I am for you... are you done being jealous loser yet? the only fictional thing here is you thinking your smart and you thinking I'm poor... I didn't make up anything, you're a loser and that's a fact that you can't get around unless you're in denial which you are unfortunately... how mad are you now? thought so... now be gone, you cocksucking hater.

  • @mamakunem That seems to be half of your vocabulary. Well that and the homo jokes. Gonna come up with something original or just continually repeat yourself to spam up the comments for this vid? Now fuck off.

  • BTW you answered the question. It was ignorance. But you've shown You're I.Q. is too low to understand that fact.

  • I love how tom welling is honest about his little knowledge of superman :D

  • In the words of Richard Donner, He was on this Earth for alot of reasons, he wasn't just here to be an actor he was Superman.

  • Shame Welling betrayed the legacy by not even wearing the suit at the end, and dragging the show out way beyond its natural lifespan.

  • season 2 episode 17

  • which episode is that please tell me

  • Para mi, desde que el existio... ahi nacio Superman.

  • I wished he was here to see the finale, well,he already saw right :) R.I.P Christopher Reeve!

  • The torch has been passed to the new generation ... The torch of being ... "Superman".

  • i'd just like to say this. no actor, or personality in an animated movie, or on tap/cd or what ever will ever drive people as much as this one man has done. and to those of you who bid him to rest in peace, i say shame on you. for his spirit in each one of his devoted fans and followers will continue to fly onward and upward, reaching for a better tomarrow. thats how the man of steel would do it i atleast feel. may the red and blue always fly on....

  • " not a handicap, but a handi-able, that you can actually rise above any adversity" what a beautiful and stunningly accurate description of Christopher Reeve and Superman, both have risen to every challenge that has been placed before them. God bless Christopher Reeve, the man who proved that life is worth living, even in horrible situations, there is light and hope in every life. God bless Christopher Reeve!

  • General Zog obviously has two Youtube accounts.....

  • I love how MR is just like "Christopher Reeve! Hell yes!" because he knows the importance of him, having been so immersed in the superhero lore.

  • i miss you Christopher Reeve i hope you are in a better place and stay with you only a moment in the future

  • Christopher Reeve passed the torch to Tom,next generation Tom will pass the torch to another worthy Superman. =)

  • Clark Kent is the Character and, Clark Kent will one day be the disguise.

  • If Chris hadn't had his accident, he'd have made a great Jor-El.

  • @rehzon very true, but i love the character they wrote for him. what a great way for him to pass the torch to the next generation Superman. i think the role was perfect and his performance was flawless.

  • Im 17 an a few days ago I saw the Superman movie where Chris gave life to his character Its was awesome mind blowing and for me it was better than Superman returns I loved the new suit and the special effects but come on who fill better the suit of course Chritopher Reeve even you see at Supermans Logo and say Christoher Reeve

  • Our love for you as the role you played in our lives is what brings us together. I hope that tom welling carries the torch for the next generation.

  • Does anyone know the name of that score that plays at the intro?

  • When Superman premiered in 1978, the highly respected film critic Pauline Kael was right to say "the young actor chosen to play the lead in 'Superman', is the best reason to see the movie", he was great in the duo role. He'll never be topped.

  • christopher reeve gracias por darle vida a superman dios te bendiga y descansa en paz siempre te recordaremos como el hombre de acero

  • Christopher Reeve, you are the man of steel

  • Christopher Reeve proved HE IS SUPERMAN IN REAL LIFE NOT ONLY IN BIG SCREEN. RESPECT. YOU ARE THE ONLY SUPERMAN IN MY HEARTH.

  • He is forever Superman. I was awestruck when they placed him into such a pivotal role in the show.

  • this was my fave episode they did it as 2 part :D TOM WELLING SHOULD PLAY SUPERMAN IN THE JUSTICE LEAGUE MOVIE!!!!

  • @666RiffsOfDeth666 great eposide yes...... but tom welling NO WAY!!!!!!!

  • @666RiffsOfDeth666 great eposide yes...... but tom welling NO WAY!!!!!!!

  • I watched my first Superman movie at the age of 3. Christopher Reeve played Superman back then. It was AWESOME. Since then Superman is my all time NUMBER one hero ^^.

  • do you know how excited i was when I saw Christopher Reeve on Smallville and he and Tom Welling were in a scene, it was like Superman meet Superman Jr.... It breaks my heart that Mr Reeve is no longer with us, but he'll live on in his fans with the Superman movies...

  • Oh my god, this is so sad, I really admire Christopher Reeve. He had the opportunity to be Superman in front of cameras, but after his accident he was Superman every single moment and he never stopped being awesome: "Please call".

  • what an icon

  • "Please Call" hahaha I love that guy :) True inspiration :)

  • Christopher Reeve is just a disguise ;)

  • Christopher Reeve, made us believe a man could really fly

  • HE was a good man. He is missed

  • que extraordinario ser humano, a pesar de estar en esa situación mostrar su gran sonrisa y calidad humana! que Dios siempre te cuide Christpher God blees you!! Amen!

  • I actually got the privilage of meeting christopher reeves, and you have no idea as to how that felt to meet my iconic role model. And when he died, it was like a hole in my heart....it really was the death of superman. But....his memory and work will always live on. Christopher reeves is the one and only true superman

  • Christopher Reeve remains a hero and an inspiration to me. He never gave up hope, and never stopped fighting for what he believed was possible. The world could use more people like Christopher Reeve. He embodied the spirit of Superman, and lived life with confidence, courage, and hope. He was not just a great man, but a Superman. And that is what he forever shall be to me. Rest in peace.

  • this is why smallville has lasted 10 full seasons

  • THE REAL SUPERMAN, what if it is not just a character, but...

  • REEVE AS THE GREAT MEN ARE NOT DEAD... LIVES IN OUR MINDS!

  • wow i watched the first film today and its so hard to believe what happened to him i feel really sorry for him it is really sad :(

  • He may have never gotten the chance to walk again, but in the hearts of the millions of people he's touched, including mine, he'd always be flying.

  • Guess nobody called. :(

  • damn this gave me chills. Such an American icon. We'll never forget you Chris.

  • I just love the way this video ended, with Christophers "please...please call!" and the way Tom and the crew reacts. Really shows Christophers spirit. It's when I see persons like him, I really wish that I was American and could have known more about him and followed him throughout my childhood. You can say alot about the USA, but no country can beat their spirit.

  • Christopher Reeve was truly Superman, no matter whether he wore the blue-red suit in the movie or was sitting in the wheelchair later in his life. I'm glad he agreed to star in the show :)

  • I get goosebumps by watching this video. God Bless Christopher Reeves and Tom Welling for being the most awesome and iconic actors ever to ever play on Smallville and Superman. RIP Christopher Reeves for what he has done for others.

  • @Helix619 Me too! I still do get goosebumps seeing these episodes with Chris Reeve in it.

  • 5:38. I personally think that the writers of Smallville failed to realize that if he is to actually be the character presented in the best of the comics, he cannot be one or the other character, but both, with different sides dominant at different points. Early in his life, Clark Kent is the character; later on, though, when he has the "goofy disguise" as his protection from the world's attention, Kal-El of Krypton is the character. This change has to happen...and didn't, in Smallville.

  • "please call" lol adorable. RIP Mr. Reeves

  • all I have to say about Clark in that scene is: INTERPRETATION. You will rule them does not necessarily mean "conquer". It kind of bugged me when he interpreted it like that.

  • Lynda Carter played chloe's mother and Dean cain some kind of ras asgul, its such a great thing to see these people giving a part of what they did before, Maybe later we can see Adam west cameo even he's very old, oR John wesley ship, I never see smallville from its beginning but Now I am a big fan

  • @jimm06126 so true. i also like seeing Jane Seymour on smallville. she wasnt in a superman movie, but she had that christopher reeve connection. and that makes the show cool and a new fan out of me.

  • @jimm06126 Actually he played Vandal Savage, or Smallvilles version of Vandal Savage.

  • @jimm06126

I would love to see Noel Neill and or Jack Larson make appearances on the show. They both did Superman Returns.

By the way, I think the best part of the "Rosetta" episode of Smallville is at the end where Clark thinks he's alone because he's the last Kryptonian (at least he thought until later in the show when Kara shows up). Johnathan tells him that he has his family and friends and will never be alone. How true!

  • tom welling and reeves my idols

  • he was my Idol

  • I love Christopher Reeve! He has that funny wit about him, especially with the please call bit at the end. He really was a superman and brought people joy and hope. RIP the true "Super Man" ♥

  • The ending thing was so funny "Please call!"

A lot of love for that man. Good man who over came an adversary and turned it into something more important.

  • I waited for this episode and when I when I watched it, it gave me the goosebumps especially when the theme of superman was played for a few seconds. Christopher Reeve was the best to have played superman....

  • my one and only superman CHRISTOPHER REEVE....no one can replace him...we miss you!!!

  • "He IS Superman." Yup. That about sums it up. I actually cried when I saw this episode of Smallville. I don't think there will be another that can bring Superman to life the way he did. At least not in my lifetime.

  • Christopher reeve is real superman so it's perfect superman's face same cartoon.

  • *sigh*.......Such a great loss. Even with his disability he still had the same presence on screen and complete control over the moment. You are born with that ability. Blessed if you will. Just an amazing man. The first actor to truly become in real life the character he portrayed on screen. SUPERMAN.

  • when I was 6 and first watched Superman on VHS I didn't know Clark Kent and Superman were the same person till my parents told me. Boy did Chris Reeve fool me!

  • RIP Christopher Reeve. the true superman.

  • Chris Reeve was awesome. Superman 1 and 2 are awesome. Superman is awesome. Smallville sucks. All the MTV fodder attached to it and the horrible retelling and piss poor writing is a disgrace to the legacy of the character.

This "passing of the torch" talk is horse crap, too. Gerard Christopher played Clark/Superboy long before Welling (so did John Haymes Newton for that matter). Dean Cain played Supes long before Welling in Lois & Clark - which also sucked.

    RIP Christopher Reeve.

  • TOm Welling is so handsome!

  • He's a shit Clark Kent though.

  • man, they look like Father and son at the end

  • I think Chris had a different appreciation for Superman in the later years.

I don't think any actor has personafied a character as much as him. Toby Macguire will not be as fondly remembered as Chris Reeve

  • @1980Triumph

Didn't know what you meant by this at first, but now I think I get it. Toby was the first actor I felt really got a good grip on the Spidey character. I remember thinking that when I saw the film that he was to Spidey as Reeves was to Superman, but I think you are correct, if only because the Spiderman character isn't quite as epic as Superman was/is and plus he was always the super "boy scout".. Spiderman was always a bit more human, but how can anyone compete with that?

  • WOW IM CRIE...

  • christopher reeve was definately the hottest superman to date

  • YES! Michael Rosenbaum totally knows what he's talking about. Superhero all the way! (As he has voiced The Flash for ages in JL and JLU)

  • @joshbergg

    wtf?

  • God bless Christopher Reeve and may his soul rest in peace. We miss him.

  • @jazzlefizzle I think as a tribute to Superman and especially Mr. Reeve they should have the John Williams theme. I just wish they could use the '77 movie costume instead of the one from Superman returns

  • Wow ... God Bless him.

  • tom welling is sooo hot. too bad hes married to an ugly model... =(

  • im a superman buff ever since i saw christopher reeve in superman when i was a kid...it was errie seeing chris in smallville in a good way : )

  • Still my favorite episode of Smallville.

Check out , Kryptonian The Video.

A fan made song & video from a long time Superman fan !

  • R.I.P Reeves

  • at around 9:40,

When Tom and Chris was on screen...there was there sense off Superman, its weird to describe. but you know

  • i bet is was a fantastic experience lizzie

  • When "Superman" came out, in 1977, I went with my best friend and his family to see it on the biggest screen we could at the time.

We were seven. When Christopher Reeve first appeared in the Superman outfit, and flew, our jaws dropped. It was like everything we saw in the comics had just became reality.

Chris really did make us believe a man could fly back then. God bless him.

  • lolol

  • MediumKuribo,

we don't have enough place here for little 9 year olds like you, so please leave the Internet.

  • @IzzySmith1969 it was 1978

  • @IzzySmith1969 wow. It wasn;t 1977 but 93 when I frist saw superman. Christopher Reeve is always going to be the Man of Steel,A Real superman to all of us. Jaw drop indeed,as you see that, seeing a man really fly. Someone with hope, kindness in their eyes. We all miss you chris!!

  • wow when i was watching the show i never new he was the orignal superman

  • you mean against your mom? he won =).

  • whose playing as dr.swann?

  • the old superman, Christopher Reeves

  • LOL....old Superman. He's the REAL Superman. The Best. Period. He changed the Superman in the comic. It's even drawn like Chris Reeve now. Old..ha...how about TIMELESS

  • sorry XD m'bad. TIMELESS, AND REAL

  • the old superman? he still IS superman and always will be

  • Read his touching biography written after his terrible horse accident in 1995 when he unfortunately became quadarplegic : Still Me edited to editions The Random House Publishing Group (USA) ISBN : 0-345-43241-X. Then, watch all his movies so that we dont forget him!

    Sincerely,

    Myriam

  • Enormous talent of Chris Reeve : actor (cinema and theatre), artistic director, writer, director of the Christopher Reeve Foundation. Attentive father of his 3 children. He wasnt only for 4-times the performer of Superman but he wonderfully played a lot of characters simultaneously in cinema and tv movies his repertoir filmographic was very impressive. In fact : handsome actor, talented, charismatic, sensitive, courageous, modest with a good sense of humour!

  • My hero. The one that will live in our hearts as the true Superman. You are thee most spectacular person I have ever got see, I only wish I could have met you. I love CR!

  • lol so sweet and funny in the end.

  • p.s RIP reeve...you legend...

  • Christopher Reeve beacame a real hero in our time.

  • christopher reeve to me is superman, beyond the character, hes one of the most inspiring and talented men to ever walk on earth.

    RIP man of steel

  • Christopher Reeve: an actor with enormous talent!

  • He was born Man and he died Superman. Thank you Christopher

  • He will be and will always be Superman R.I.P Christopher Reeve you make ah Genaration of Kids and PPL happy we miss you
