thank god games have come alot more far ahead....cause if a game doesnt let you complete something withouth one specific item that you might have not picked up and your screwed . Thats just poor design.

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! You can finish the game without the supporter and the rock! You simply hide behind the elevator, call for the guard, and quickly go into the elevator when he comes out!

@TomSFox True. In fact, you can also get past the guard without alerting him at all. Any time he's facing the opposite direction, he can't see you. If you're fast enough, you can use the keycard and slip into the door while he's walking the other way. It's the way I always used to get past him, until I figured out the athletic supporter slingshot move.

Actually, if You forgot the Cubix Rube, You could just leave and re-enter the screen after blowing the whistle, and the beast would be gone. [at least in my version] :)

I'm pretty sure You can also get part the guard without the athletic supporter. Just throw it anywhere, and he'll come down to investigate.:>

this looks a LOT like Police Quest: Pursuit of the Death Angel, in fact the main characters seem to use the same sprite with different colors.

@Sahuagin Of course Space Quest 2 and Police Quest look the same. Both the games were made by the same company, Sierra On-Line, using the Adventure Game Interpreter (AGI) engine. Sierra made over a dozen games using the AGI engine.

He got out of there in the last video. THe last few minutes though he showed us how to die in the tunnels before. But he also showed us the way to that cave

@darkowl9 From his save file. While trying to find the cave squid, he had actually found the exit by dumb luck, so he saved before going back on his quest for death.

I'm convinced Space Quest 2 is not an adventure game. Rather it is a death simulator wrapped up in the guide of an adventure game.
