This is some of the stupidest shit i have ever seen!! Lets make a list how....1. He took this weak SUV across these parts of the country. 2. He left his only source of food in the truck cause hes obviously to dumb to hunt or trap something having ended up in this situation! 3. He waited more than 24 hours and still didnt realize noone was coming and still waited an additional 3 days. 4. After the clear signs of the vehicles struggle to get thus far...he continued to push on! To bad he didnt DIE!

But when the temps get to like -50 at night, and like -10 during the day, its kinda hard to be outside for any length of time. The winds blow the snow that you try to dig out. You're digging with your hands, a old coffee cup you find under the seat, or anything. Its not that productive.

I agree that the guy is probably not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but to all the armchair pundits who say that he should have done this or that, I would dare any one of you to get into that kind of situation unintentionally and still demonstrate your cockiness & tendency to second guess the survivor- however dumb he may be, he did survive, after walking 7 miles- no one knows how deep the snow was and whether he had sneakers or snow boots, so guessing that it's "easy" to walk that long is BS

Well: I know how deep snow was. There is a pic of the car in the material about 0:23. They say it's "several feet" but you can see that it's actualy about half a meter. And the road has ruts, which makes walking easy.

7 miles, that's slightly more than 10 km, that's 2 hours walk when walking is easy, so let's make it's "extremally hard" and make double. 4 hours. O my good, you right, that guy is a hero, he was able to walk for 4 hours!
