Hey, I still know the butterfly, but not to use in an anchor, but rather for just a loop in the rope to attach stuff to. (tree climbing, not rocks) But then again, I live in a developing nation like the US.

To Make a clove hitch, one loop goes behind the other as apposed to side by side with the Munter or "Italian" Hitch. Nice Pancake!

Is your lack of interest in the alpine butterfly towards the knot itself, or jutst it being used for clipping into an anchor?

actually it's not recommended for children under 12 months not 24, and it won't harm them but they may get a lot of gas ect because they can't digest all the proteins yet
