  • If you fight without a shirt when it's allowed, you're asking for it :D

but on a serious note, amazing technique

  • Amazing technique. Greetings from Brazil.

  • What great sportsmanship from his opponent; truly realizing defeat and congratulating Ryan the way he did.

  • smooth!!

  • I love the Triangle

  • Awesomeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

The size is not matter. But The technique !!

  • @kpop427 English is not matter is ...what?

  • Wik-ked!

  • i didnt see anyone tap

  • @crabbit87 Good thing you're not the referee, I guess.

  • Niiiice!

  • holy shit lol.

  • its against the rules to slam your opponent

  • where was the flying part of the triangle? all i saw was an inverted one, just wondering.

  • and SLAM! ... dead! nothing wrong with the set up, in fact, that was totaly sick, but just grab the leg when they start to lift you, cuz otherwise you could literally die. no joke.

  • Really goos attitude referee!!! Preventig the atlets injury!

  • Classic Skill vs Size. Bravo Man, Great Technique

  • WTF was that Brock lesnar?

  • i dont know how he pulled it off.. but woah

    crazyy

  • SICK!!!

  • DAaamn, nice one!! That guy is huge. Probably wouldn't do that move in MMA though.

  • That's my cousin!

  • I love this set up and how Ryan sets up triangles off of the inverted guard. Although I'm not great at it yet, I do have good success on guys who are my size. Check out some of my triangles in competition if you want!

  • I read Mr. Hall is "only" a BJJ brown belt. WTF? That is some extremely slick shit right there.

  • Why didn't he slam him?

  • against the rules..

  • it looks like u got him in a back triangle not an inverted triangle

  • It's a reverse triangle from the inverted guard. Watch technique number 3 on the 3rd DVD in his new set on the triangle. This is that technique.

  • why is that bs? Its a traingle. You ever been caught in one?

  • I was replying to the comment posted that was a few before mine not the vid itself man

  • who is who

  • David and Goliath.

  • nice one. Rumina sato pulled an obscene flying reverse triangle at a shooto vale tudo back in the day

  • Toby Imada vs Jorge Masvidal

    Look it up.

It's a wicked flying inverted triangle in Bellator.

And the way he did it, would work in a street fight.

    BJJ all the way!

  • counter strike stfu.

  • lolll666 said it best. He is good at the sport he competes in. and if ryan was to defend himself in the street for some reason im fairly confident he is smart enough to alter his game im pretty sure he knows some good conservative jiu jitsu.

  • That was incredible!

  • That was not flying though!

  • I totally agree, but what you should understand is that his guard is for sport bjj. He is a top level grappler my man, I'm sure that on the street he could handle himself, any blue belt should be able to. As for mma, he is probably just not interested... but for those looking to build their grappling reputations, the inverted guard is an exciting philosphy.

  • who gives a shit about what's effective on the street? does this look like a street fight to you? has ryan hall ever claimed to be a street fighter? is anyone watching NAGA hoping to learn street fighting moves? no to all of the above.

  • lolll666 Who gives a shit about what's effective on the street...Answer No. WHAT????

  • oh my god you again? you said this shit on another one of his videos i watched.

look, just like in regular bjj, you wouldnt use every move in a street fight, does that mean those moves are pointless? no. i would never try a flying triangle in a real fight, does that mean its pointless all the time? no.

im sure he'd use the right moves in a real fight. hes not a dumbass.

  • i disagree, i think there are stupid questions, which sometimes require stupid answers. just because u dont like my answer doesnt mean its stupid, i think its accurate actually

  • Why do I have a penis?

This would be a stupid question you idiot.

Why do you have a vagina?

This would be a good question you dumbass.

    :)

  • people do bjj for sport just like people do muay thai and mma for sport. Because people fight with guns in real life.

None of the fighters I know have any illusions that they are some ultimate badass killing machine - it's only the stupid kids, the loners with no friends practicing martial arts that are all about "combat" and "street fighting" and all.

  • Why does his techniques have to transfer to self defense? BJJ is a sport and if your pulling off inverted triangles in absolute divisions and winning...I'm sure your simple and basic self defense BJJ will be fine against someone who doesn't know Jiu-Jitsu in the street.

  • Yea I agree... blue-belt level moves are probably enough to kill like 90% of the population (10% being purple, brown, and black belt level fighters, whom probably wouldn't even get into street fights in general) and is enough for self-defense

  • true that.. plenty of self defense for sure.

  • @sarsattacks lol 10% being above blue? Try less than 1% :D

  • @sarsattacks haha dude, more like enough to kill 99.99 percent of the population. If 10% of the people in this world trained in grappling, this world would be a much better place.

  • good sportsmanship

  • ryans legs are like his hands damn. this dude's inspired me to train the upside down guard.

  • I'm shaking my head in disbelief. I just can't believe that someone can be as talented as Ryan Hall is. This video was amazing. Thank you for posting this and please post more in the future.

  • Ryan Hall is sick !

  • that was sick!

  • scorpian guard

  • That was Awsome! David and Goliath that's why I love Jiu jitsu

  • holy shit! Even the guy who lost was amazed!

  • its funny. pretty much a hey get this on tape moment. im going to pull guard inverted traingle on this guy for the camera.

  • insanity. gotta fwd this to my buddy, hes gonna shit. we need to see one of these in MMA asap.

  • hahaha thats cool, it was a muscle guy vs ryan agility hall....

  • Damn that was nice.

  • Awsome set up!

  • AAAHH! Very nice set up.

  • I probably would have let go if I was Ryan cuz he could've gotten his neck broken if he was spiked. What if that bigger guy didn't obey the rules?

  • That would've been a better idea. I got lucky. I started to become deeply religious once the guy lifeted me over waist height. haha.

  • i guess that guy has never seen ryan compete.

  • Show-off!

  • he was about to spike the small guys head into the floor..

  • Yeah, then he realized this is not the UFC and that shit would get him DQ'd. silly to even raise someone up that far IMO.

  • Crazy size difference! And it's not an 'flying inverted reverse triangle' LOL, it's just a reverse-triangle choke =D

  • lol, that was crazy!
