wrong, Hood didn't get any broad sides at Bidmarck because PoW and Hood were capped meaning they were moving forward toward the enemy with only her forward turrets in action...just started 20 degree turn to unmask after turrets when she was hit.....examination of the wreck confirmed rudder was in right position....after she blew PoW was hit 7 times with only l hit not a dud so probably Hood was unlucky to take a real non dud hit....

Interesting how all four of the main combatants of the Battle of the Denmark Straight all ended up at the bottom of the ocean -- The Hood during this battle (of course),The Bismarck a few days later, the Prince of Wales in December 41 thanks to Japanese air attacks, and the Prinz Eugen during nuclear tests after the war.

Did, but somehow dissapointing as the ennemy can't even land a single shells on me at point blank and long range.

Fixed the .cfg or whatever those text data file, and the AI still shoot horribly.

That's the reason enough for me to play with "bugged" mod but rather more realistic, than a "good job on the overall" but with this horrible accuracy from the AI....

In the actual battle, Hood and POW arrived 30 min late. The German ships would cross the 'T', & gain the advantage. Full broadsides vs only the front turrets of Hood & POW. Ad. Holland mistook Prinz Eugan for Bismarck. They had switched leads, Prinz Eugan's radar was undamaged. He ordered all fire towards her. German gunners were well trained(not just lucky), and Hood was just starting her turn, but too late. Bismarck's 5th shell ended the Hood. POW guns were new & buggie.

had 3 propellers.

the small cannons did not fire at all during the battle.

this thing lasts for 9 min when the total duration of the battle was . . . 7 min.

@rxjimen Where do you get your info? 7 minutes? Seriously? Tribal class destroyers engaged the Bismarck repeatedly over the whole night of the 26/27th. When the Norfolk and Dorsetshire joined King George V and Rodney in the morning it took 45 minutes before the Bismarck was disabled offensively.

It is about the battle between the Hood - Prince of Wales agains Bismark - Prince Eugene. Yes, there are playable mod for SH4 such as iowa/USN ship/Italian/some kriegsmarine playable boat.

I have no clue about IJN playable ship.

You can find them on subsim. Subsim and its forum member often post their work, to share with the community.

A few googling and you will find what you want.

depends on the ship,battleships will hit you and kill you if you don't kill them quickly,but destroyers and light cruisers are really easy.

Best new thing are the bridges,he has added some to every and you can upgrade your ship in career too ^^

Nope, destroyer Command is not available in the stores in my city. Perharps few of these products are only shipped to canada.

You can't control the ships with the stock version. You have to download a mod and install it. Installing non-correctly results of crashing the game and I won't be responsible for any lost. It requieres a minimum of knowledge, since you have to move files manually.

Also, I won't posting the links because im currently updating those files to the new GWX 3 gold. Once it is done, I will officialy post the link.

This game is "Silent Hunter 3" developped by Ubisoft.

It requieres quite a good graphic to run it smooth.
